The reorganization came after several meetings among the mem bers and the remainder of the band committee. The matter was laid before Mr. W>alper by Graf ton Cochrane, who was largely responsible for the band’s con tinuance, and Mr. Walper ami cably consented to return to re sume the conductorship. The band, at the present time, is struggling along on funds in sufficient for an organization of xits size. Some of the instruments The ^nembers are required to use would bring a better price in an antique shop than at an instru ment dealer’s. The present grant is less than the pre-war grant, while the cost of instruments, instrument repairs, and music has risen immeasureably. AVhile on the subject of short ages, the band would certainly welcome any musical assistance that can be obtained. Anyone in terested is not necessarily re quired to supply his own instru ment as there are a few avail able at the band hall. Practice is Monday night at 8:30 o’clock.
