Fink- beiner. Sunday was a real spring-like day and several youngsters en­ joyed a swim above the dam in the afternoon. The water was a trifle chilly. Mr. and Mrs. Lome Johnston, Bobby and David, and Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Johnston and Patsy spent Sunday in Goderich with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Johnston. Mr. underwent Joseph’s home last on duty at Miss Lottie McLaren, of Niag­ ara Falls; Mrs. W. E. Butcher, of St. Marys and Mrs. Irma For­ rester, of Hamilton attended the graduation of Miss Dorothy For­ rester at Convocation Hall in London Friday of last week and spent the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Forrester in Exeter. Mr. Harry Sanders, of Denver, Col., who has been visiting at the home of his sister, Mr. and Mrs. R. N. Creech, is under the doctor’s care and his son, Harry of Denver, was sent for and ar­ rived at London Monday by plane and brought to Exeter by car. Mr. and Honored by Friends A very .pleasant evening was spent at the home of Pastor and Mrs, Kenderick on Monday, April 19 when about twenty-five ladies of the Pentecostal church gathered .in honor of Mrs. Gar­ field Thompson who was mar­ ried recently. The evening open­ ed with choruses. Marjorie Cudmore and Marilyn Bender conducted contests after which Pearl Cann read the address and Mrs. Durand and Marjorie Cudmore presented the gifts. The train schedule from London and Clinton was advanced one hour so that mail is received and dispatched on D.S.T.
