Combining close-checking and Schroeder's brilliant net guarding Zurich held their lead throughout the second and on .into the third, After a very poor hockey ex hibition the first-place Exeter- ites began to take the game more earnestly in the third but it was not until eight miuutes had elapsed that Fletcher gave Exeter their first tally. From there on in Exeter played five men inside the Zurich blueline almost continually. Several minutes later Ryck- man flipped Bill Tuckey’s pass over the sprawled Schroeder to tie the count. Then with but three minutes to go Tuckey slid the disc from the corner along the left boards to a waiting Shaw who bulged the hemp for the winning goal.
