Christmas Service
At Caven Church
The Rev. Mr. Sanderson,
Hensall, preached a special Christ--
mas sermon in Caven Presbyterian
church and expressed his thanks
to the people of Ontario for
generosity to the peoples of the
West during the years of depres
sion and hardship and where he
served many years with the church
prior, to liis retirement and arrival
,in Hensall. The special choir music I consisted of the anthem “Glory to
God” in which Mr. W. G. Cochrane
took the solo parts quite ably. The
quartette “Sleep Little Babe” was
sung by members of the up-and-
coming choir. The solo “0 Holy
Night” from Contique de Noel, was
rendered by Mr. Niel -M. Morton.
The congregation joined in singing
Christmas carols "O Come All Ye
Faithful”, “Holy Night” and “The
First Noel.” Altogether the service
was a thorough success and ranked
in comparison with the special an
niversary service held recently by
the church.
