VALERIA ARMSTRONG Deeper Spiritual Life Conference A conference for the and encouragement of spiritual life among young people is to be held at the Pentecostal Tabernacle from Fri­ day, January 2 to Sunday, January 4, 1948. About fourty members are expected to attend from Exeter and surrounding districts. Rev. C. A. Ratz, instructor in the Ontario Pentecostal Bible School, will be in charge of sessions and will be as­ sisted by Mr. Harold Grant, gradu­ ate of McGill University, and by Dean Smith and Norman Jolly, both students at University of Western Ontario. Mr. Sanderson, Hensall, preached a special Christ-- mas sermon in Caven Presbyterian church and expressed his thanks to the people of Ontario for generosity to the peoples of the West during the years of depres­ sion and hardship and where he served many years with the church prior, to liis retirement and arrival ,in Hensall. The special choir music I consisted of the anthem “Glory to God” in which Mr. W. G. Cochrane took the solo parts quite ably. The quartette “Sleep Little Babe” was sung by members of the up-and- coming choir. The solo “0 Holy Night” from Contique de Noel, was rendered by Mr. Niel -M. Morton. The congregation joined in singing Christmas carols "O Come All Ye Faithful”, “Holy Night” and “The First Noel.” Altogether the service was a thorough success and ranked in comparison with the special an­ niversary service held recently by the church. Pentecostal Concert The Pentecostal Sunday School concert held in the church base­ ment on Monday evening, Dec. 22 was well attended and much en­ joyed. The lengthy well-rendered program was climaxed by a beauti­ ful pantomime “The Holy City” presented by seven young ladies under the direction of Mrs. Dur­ and. Elimville Meeting The W.M.S. and W-A. of Elim­ ville Church, met at the church for their Christmas meeting with members of the Baby Band and mothers as guests.
