It may be true that I do not live right in town, but at the same time it’s my nearest town and I take pride in its growth and progress. Although what I spend doesn’t amount to a great deal, I feel that when I trade with my home town merchants and business firms I am doing my part as a loyal citizen of the community to make this a better place in which to live and bring up family. you can find in any other town. Our merchants carry the same line of nationally advertised goods and the prices are certainly competitive with those of the other towns. my 2.There is another reason why I do practically all shopping in Exeter. This is because I can find justmy about anything right here at home that I can find in the larger towns, and in many instances, I can find things here that you can’t find in the large towns. A few days ago a friend of mine was in a large town looking for a tricycle. She was unable to find what she wanted, came to Exeter and found just what she was looking for. I wonder if you ever stopped to think just how complete a little town we have? Why, Exeter merchants have or can get for you, just about anything 3. And another thing. Should we need assistance we would not go away from home to get it. If we needed to borrow money, we would go to our local bank where we are known and I know they would treat us right. When we need something and don’t have the money on hand, it’s not to a merchant in a distant town that we go . . . but to our friends in Exeter. I want to see my town and community grow and make progress. I want our churches well-kept, I want better school facilities and I want to see Exeter out front Leading, so as for me and my family, we shall continue to try our Exeter merchants first.
