As we go to press we learn of
the death of Mr. George Henry
Brock who passed away Tuesday
evening at his residence, • Lot B.
Con. 9, Usborne Township, aged
81 years. The funeral will take
place from his late residence Fri
day, June 27th at 2,30 p.m. with
interment in the Exeter cemetery.

Mr. Jas. .Telfer, of the Livestock
Branch in Ottawa, visited the
farm of Mr. Preston Dearing Mon
day and purchased a Dorset Horn
ram that is being shipped to the
West Indies for the government.
The ram was shown as 15 fairs

from Montreal July Sth. Mr. Tel
fer, while here, was shown the

Bowling Season Opens
The opening bowling tourna
ment of the season was held on j
the local greens Monday evening
with six rinks taking part in tre-'
bles. The greens are in excellent
condition, First prize was, carried

Former Resident Dies
Mr. -Geo, Vosper, a former resi

Tuesday in his 86th year. Miss
