Anniversary Services will be held in the Whalen church on Sunday, Oct. 15 at IQ,45 a.m. and 7,30 p.m. with Rev. A, E. Duffield, |B.A., of Lambeth, as guest speaker. There will be no service in the Centralia church but the Sunday School will meet at 10,30 a.m, with the Mission Band in charge of the Worship Service. Rev. Hawes and daughters, of Lucknow, were Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and Mi’s. Lloyd Hodgson. Miss Mabel [Church, of Perth, spent the week-end with Miss Mar jorie -Flynn. Mr. and Mrs, Fred Penwarden spent Thanksgiving Day with Mr. and Mrs. Wm, Stephens at Wodd- ham. Mr, and son, of Port giving with Mr. and attended ding on Saturday last. Rev. G. G. Mrs. Melvin Guenther and son, Carl, of Garry, Ind., are visiting at the home of the former’s parents Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sanders. Miss Cora Sanders and Mr. Arthur La Chance, of Detroit, were also visit ors with Mr. and Mrs. Sanders over the holiday. Mrs. W. H. Keddy and daughter, Beulah, of Fenton, Mich., spent the latter part of the wreek with Mr. W. C. Keddy and Miss Keddy, of Us borne. The four of them motored to Glencoe on Sunday to visit with Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Keddy, who are leaving next week for Victoria, B.C. Mr. and Mrs. E. N. Keddy and daughter, of Detroit, also visited in’ Glencoe the same day. Anniversary Services at Pentecostal The Tenth Anniversary of the Full Gospel Work in Exeter was celebrated in the Pentecostal ‘ church by two days of meetings, Three services were held on’Sunday and two On Monday. Being mission ary Sunday, we rejoiced in the yielding of four precious young lives to the Mission fields as mis sionaries for which we thank God as the need is great in the ravaged countries. The names of these young ladies are Misses J. Triebnefj J, McDonald, J, Jolly, M. Cudmore, In the Sunday evening service there were some fine duets, trios and quartettes enjoyed and grand music was provided with Sister Peart at the piano. The Monday services were at 3 and 8 p.m. The Rev. A, i\ Harris, of Goderich, brought two wonder* ful messages and every seat was filled at all services. The appreci ation of the Exeter citzens of these meetings is shown by their attem dance to the services and the support of the Building Fund/ which was enriched by the amount of eight hundred and eighty dollars in the evening offering, for which we thpulc God, A vote of thanks was extended to th© ladies for the wonderful buffet lunch they provided which was greatly enjoyed.
