SAIL BOAT CAPSIZES
AT IPPERWASH
Five Windsor boys had a harrow
ing experience, when their sailboat
capsized about a half-mile off Ipper-
wash beach. A windstorm which
came up very suddenly filled the
boat with water, and although the
lads bailed furiously it was of no
avail and the boat capsized. They
finally abandoned it and swam to
safety. The boat later was driven
to shore by the strong winds. It
was owned by the Mortons, of Wind
sor, who are holidaying at Ipper-
wash Beach. The Morton boys, the
oldest 19 years of age, and three
companions took the boat for a sail
when the sudden squall came.
Motor boats were rushed to the
scene of the accident, but the five
boys, all good swimmers, reached
shore unaided,
