Euro-Parts Canada celebrated the
opening of its new office, storage,
call centre and showroom site at the
former East Wawanosh Public
School outside of Belgrave lastweek.Starting with a ribbon cutting
attended by both local and provincial
politicians last Friday morning, the
event spanned Friday and Saturday
and Euro-Parts Canada Marketing
Manager Jonathan Roeland said thatthe event went well.“It was fantastic,” he exclaimed.
“We were very busy and had a good
stream of people all day Friday and
Saturday.”
The company, which originally
hails from the Lucknow area, is
completely moved in to the new
location and will continue serving asa parts and service company for theforeign and high-end appliance
makers they represent.
Roeland explained that the
new site has 11 full-time positions
under the Euro-Parts name and many
different technicians who work for a
separate company.
The move was inspired by a needfor more space as their Lucknow-area site was only 7,000 square feet
whereas the new site is more than
three times as large at 23,000 square
feet.
The business and showroom will
be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday
through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 4
p.m. Fridays. The showroom will
also be open on Saturdays from 10
a.m. to 2 p.m.

The regular monthly meeting of
the Belgrave United Church Women
(UCW) was held in the basement of
Knox United Church on Tuesday,
Sept. 3. Muriel Coultes welcomed
everyone to the meeting and read a
poem, “There’s Nothing Like a
Greeting.” The UCW purpose was
recited by the group.
Doreen Marks led in worship on
“God’s Wonderful Creation.” Her
meditation was on several passages
from Psalms and Genesis. The
worship closed with prayer.
Mrs. Coultes introduced Mrs.
Linda (Bruce) Campbell, who is a
registered massage therapist. She
spoke to the group of all the
different kinds of therapy she
provides to her clients and explained
what part of the body each one
would benefit. She told of how she
got started and the success she was
getting by using these types of
therapy. She answered several
questions from the group and she
was presented with a plant for her
presentation.
During the business it was
decided to accept the invitation of
Friends of North Huron Museum, to
hold their next meeting at the
museum. It was moved and
seconded that the group purchase 10
copies of the mandates for another
year and they were passed out at the
meeting. Ruth Gordon will look
after purchasing window coverings
for the windows beside the organ.
The meeting closed with the
UCW prayer and the singing of
Grace. Yvonne Coultes, Barb Shiell
and Elly Dow served lunch and a
social time followed. The next
meeting will be Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 2
p.m. at the North Huron Museum.
On Thursday, Sept. 12 there is a
congregational meeting at Knox
United Church at 7:30 p.m. Please
plan to attend as the official board
needs your input to make plans for
the future of Knox United Church.
Knox United Church’s anniversary
and exchange is on Sunday, Sept.
