The Citizen, 2013-03-28, Page 15THE CITIZEN, THURSDAY, MARCH 28, 2013. PAGE 15. By Rachel Robinson Students were welcomed back to St. Anne’s Catholic Secondary School after a week off for March Break. The Mathletes completed their final math contest of the year on Tuesday. Elementary students came to St. Anne’s on Wednesday for “Dancefest” where they performed organized dances. Parent- teacher interviews took place on Thursday evening. Thursday and Friday were also the days that the Me-to-We group hosted the event “Exchange for Change”, led by Lexi Poelman and Aja Hogan- Cann. The purpose of “Exchange for Change” is to encourage students to bring in their gently-used clothes that will be sold as a fundraiser towards the group’s project this year of building an agricultural school in Africa. Parents are invited to participate during parent-teacher interviews. Continued from page 14“Son of God.” Only then will we understand why he would lay his life down for the great dream of forgiveness and why any of us would do the same. Easter is an invitation to all believers and doubters to dream anew and to find courage in the lesson that Jesus’ life and death could teach. That dreams never die and as long as the dream lives, so does the dreamer. I don’t know how things like cell phones work. I don’t know how atonement works but I do know that the world only changes for the better when we have dreams worthy of our lives and even our death. For that Jesus is the perfect example, guide, and Lord. In that he teaches us to dream, to bear the burden of going against the society and seizing the power moment of opportunity around us. Easter is thepromise that dreams do give life far beyond the short span of years each of us is given. Happy Easter everyone! St. Anne’s hosts Exchange for Change Jesus a perfect example of good change: Clark Washing the feet Pastor Les Cook, left, of the Blyth Church of God is seen here washing the feet of Brian Mitchler, one of the longest traditions in the Church of God’s history. On Sunday, dozens walked through the streets of Blyth from one church to the other celebrating Holy Week and participating in various activities at the different places of worship. Here it was time for some feet washing, as Jesus did with his disciples at the Last Supper.
