Notably, the list includes three names that are no longer with the county: former Chief Administrative Officer Larry Adams, former Treasurer and Deputy-Chief Administrative Officer David Carey and former Director of Human Resources Darcy Michaud. Adams and Carey were placed on non-disciplinary administrative leave on May 29, 2012 and Michaud was placed on similar leave on Aug. 9. On Sept. 11, 2012, ties to the three employees were officially severed according to a press release issued by the county. Former Clerk Barb Wilson, whoabruptly resigned from her position on Sept. 5, is not included on the list. Employees listed include, from highest to lowest: • Dr. Nancy Cameron, Medical Officer of Health: $307,466. • Larry Adams, former Chief Administrative Officer: $151,716. • David Carey, former Treasurer and Deputy-Chief Administrative Officer: $131,608. • Scott Tousaw, Director of Planning and Development and Acting Chief Administrative Officer: $128,829. • David Overboe, Social Services Administrator: $125,006. • Barb Springall, Homes for the Ages Administrator: $125,004.• Meighan Wark, County Librarian and Director of Cultural Services: $112,752. • David Laurie, Director of Public Works: $110,050. • David Lew, Chief of EmergencyServices: $108,126. • Darcy Michaud, former Director of Human Resources: $106,727. • Sherri Preszcator, Health Unit Manager: $105,410. • Nancy Rennick, Deputy-Treasurer: $102,854. • Christina Taylor, Health Unit Manager: $102,429. • Bob Worsell, Health Unit Manager: $102,391. The Majestic Women’s Institute met Wednesday, March 13 in the library basement. Special guests were members of the Walton Women’s Institute. Guest speaker was Iola Subject who had a display of her homemade quilts which she and her husband make. Most of the quilts are given away to fire victims or people who are ill. Monique Baan, one of the 4-H leaders spoke on 4-H work. The other leaders are Barb Terpstra and Reg Vinnicombe. The average age of a 4-H members is 13. Forty-nine per cent of members are farm youth. There are 6,149 members in Ontario. The Majestic WI voted to give a donation to the 4-H Club. Tentative plans were made for the District Annual which will be held May 29 at the Walton Hall. Brussels and Walton will jointly host the event.
