She stressed the fact that the women of today have many Interests outside the home, and are not devoting the time they should to home and family. Due to modern conveniences children are left without the little tasks to do around the home. Mrs. J. Gibson introduced' Mr. •Fred Sicilian who spoke on Historical Research, He gave a most interesting talk on his experiences with the children in connection with the School Car and what education has meant in helping them 'to become useful citizens. The meeting was brought to a close by singing "The Queen" and the Institute Grace after which a bounteous lunch was served by the hostesses, Mrs. R. Tyndall, Mrs. W. Gibbings, Mrs. E. Adams, Mrs. M Crich, Mrs. J. Batkin and Mrs. N. W. Trewartha, desk set as retiring president. Twelve new members who were welcomed to the organiz- ation brought the membership to 206.
