Mills, of Duncan, Vancouver
Island, are visiting their son-
in-law and daughter, F/S and
Mrs. D. G. Kerr, for two
weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Mills had
previously spent three weeks
in Florida, They will be going
to Detroit, to visit another
daughter before returning
home.

tions go to Cpl. and Mrs. Brian
Bedingfield on the birth of a
girl, Marion Barbara, on Nov-
ember 16.
Mrs. J. E. Deveau and her
daughters, Lorraine and Den-
ise, and son Gary, are going
to England to visit relatives.
They will be flying via jet air-
craft from Malton on Decem-
ber 16 and return home by
January.
An "Open House" was held
at the. A/V/M Hugh Camp-
bell Public School on Novem-
ber 27. The work of the stu-
dents was on display and a
great number of parents were
on hand to visit 'the class-
rooms. All the teachers were
present, and the PTA served
coffee.
Protestant Guild
A most successful tea and
bazaar was held by the Prot-
testant Chapel Guild at the
Ritchie Building on November

sole with flitted lace bodice,
lily point sleeves and sabrina
neckline. The street length
skirt fell in controlled pleats.
A floral headpiece of net pet-
als, lily of the valley and seed'
pearls, held her fingertip veil
of silk illusion.
She carried a white prayer
book crested with red roses,
from which fell a shower of
buds knotted in white ribbon.
Mrs. Robert Marshall, Lon-
don, was her sister's matron
of honour. She wore a sapphire
blue peau de sole street length
frock fashioned with a bell
skirt, matching wedding ring
headpiece With veiling.
She carried a shasta daisy
bouquet.
The groomsman was Douglas

Mrs. Torn Bastey, who fell
on steps, •breaking her collar
bone, when the Hydro Was
off a couple of weeks ago, is
still in Goderich hospital. Her
many friends wish her a speedy
recovery,

The regular schedule for the
ladies curling will begin with
the first draw at 6:55 p.m.
Friday, December 6. The sec-
ond draw will ,start at 9:00
pm.
Drama and Art Club
A musical comedy "The Life
and Loves of Dizzy Doakes",
will be presented by local ac-
tors at the station theatre on
the evenings of . December 3, 4
and 5.• The time will be 8:30
p.m. and tickets sell at the
door.
Command Chaplain Visits
The executive of the CWL
was honoured at its meeting
last Thursday by the presence
of Father V. Villeneuve, new
Command' Chaplain. Fa ther
Villeneuve renewed acquaint-
ances and gave sound advice,
to the ladies as regards the
CWL at RCAF Clinton.

Shower Bride
The Orange Hall was pret-
tily decorated in pink and
white,' on Friday evening when
about 45 ladies gathered to
honour Miss Ann Gemeinhardt
with a miscellaneous shower
in view of h er approaching
marriage.
Mrs. Glenn Sturgeon read an
address and along With Mrs.
Robert Orr helped the bride-
to-be open her many gifts.
The ladies were gracefully
thanked by Ann after which
all sat down to a daint y
lunch.

young men was honbured by

in a presentation for Rt. Wor.
Bro, Harold J. Snell who was
elected Grand Chaplain of Gr-
and Lodge of Canada in the
Province of Ontario,
About 150 guests from Lon-
don, South Huron and North
Huron Districts wer eserved a
sumptuous dinner by the lad-
ies of Hullett Lodge. Wor. Bro.
Clare Vincent acted as Master
of Ceremonies.
Rt. Wor. Bro. William Lein-
er proposed a toast to Grand
Lodge which was responded to
by DDGM of North. Huron, Rt.
Wor, Bro. John Brown, Ford-
wich.
Bro. Vincent welcdmed the
visitors and Rt. Wor. Bro.
Hugh Hill, Goderich, replied.
The presentation was made
by the three DDGM's who had
Bro. Snell as their district Ch-
aplain; namely Carman Whit-
more of London; Murray Hod-
gins of Lucan and James Neil-
ans, Londesboro.
Bro. Snell thanked Hullett
Lodge and everyone who had
taken part in the presentation.

Mrs, William E. Parker read
an address, and Rhea Sturgeon
and Lea Ann McLeod handed
the packages to the bride. Her
Sisters helped her open them.
The bride expressed her
thanks quite graciously to one
and all for the honour accord-
ed her and the many beautiful
gifts.

The Brucefield United Chur-
ch Sunday School will have
an evening for the family and
friend's on Thursday, Decem-
ber 12. The meetings of the
youth groups will be cancelled
for this week.
A short program will com-
mence with carol singing at
8 o'clock. Santa is scheduled to
arrive by 9:30. The Boy Scouts
have been asked to assist San-
ta Claus.

Exchange Vows At Bayfield

Mrs. Betty Lou McLeod pre-
sided at the organ and accom-
panied the soloist, Miss Mary
Elizabeth Ervine, who sang,
"0 Perfect Love" during the
signing of the register.
The reception was held at
the home of the bride's par-
ents.
Mrs. F. Weston received her
guests wearing a violet crepe
sheath gown with white cor-
sage and black 'accessories.
The groom's mother was at-
tired 'in brown with which she
wore a white corsage and br-
own accessories.
Decorations throughout the
house were carried out with
White 'mums and candles.
For the wedding dinner the
brides table was centered with
her wedding cake flanked by
white tapers and 'mums.
The bride's travelling cost-
ume for a wedding trip to the
United States was a powder
blue suit and black' accessor-
ies. She wore a red rose cor-
sage.
Guests were present from
Wheatley, Toronto, London,
Blytheswood, Clinton and Bay-
field.
On their return the young
couple will reside at RR 4,
Leamington, Ontario.
Hold Shower
On Saturday evening, Nov-
ember 30, a miscellaneous sh-
ower honouring Mrs. Donald
Johnston (formerly Miss Jack-
elyn Weston) a popular bride
and former organist of Trinity
Church was 'held in Trinity
Parish Hall.
About 50 women and girls
attended. It was organized by
the Trinity Guild.
