(Reader's Diqe4)
This world would be a very different Place if
eVerYelle in high places and low were to follow the
Wolf Cubs' simple motto: "Do a good turn for
somebody each day,"
You can do yours by hacking the 13PY Scout
movement through work and money, by encourag-
ing others to support and join its ranks,
Far tee few boys take advantage of Scouting.
Far too few parents are aware of What it has to
offer. Yet there's no ,better way of teaching boys V°
be men. Indeed, the Boy Scout organization is the
world's greatest deterrent to jipenile delinwency,
The people best qualified to Judge its advantages
are leaders in the public service and industrial
fields. Ask a ranking representative of either group
and the reply will be the same, f 'Scouting n'iakes
better citizens, better employees—better men.!"
Scouts today receive training far more advanc-
ed and demanding, both mentally and physically,
than ever before. We need this sort of preparation
fora world that will be full of crises and rich with
opportunity.
In Canada, the tradition of the Boy Scout—
brotherhood, regardless of race or creed—is the
most effective method of combatting narrow pre-
judice.
Encourage your boy to be a Cub, Scout,
'or Rover. You'll be proud to watch him grow
strong in mind and body, a future leader in his
community. Support the Boy 'Scouts in every way
you can.
