on Sept. 30 at 'a Deanery of
Huron World Mission Rally to
be held in Trivitt Memorial
Anglican Church.
The rally — announced this
week by Archdeacon Carman
J. Queen, Diocesan Commis-
sioner, is one of 14 to be held
throughout the Anglican Dio-
cese of Huron from Sept. 28
to Oct. 16.
Bishop Sabiti was born of
heathen parents. During his
early childhood he had the op-
portunity of attending Mission
schools which gave him a lim-
ited knowledge of Christianity.
Widely Travelled
He trained as a teacher, and
after serving in mission schools
for a number of years, entered
Theological College and was or-
dained in 1932. Bishop Sabiti
served as a parish priest for a
number of years before he was
consecrated Bishop of the Diu,-
cese of Ruwenzori,
In, recent years he has visit-
ed England, Ethr,006, India, Cey-
lon, Nigeria and Ethiopia, and
attended the Anglican Congress
held last year in Toronto,

The Horticultural meeting
was opened by society presi-
dent Mrs. Wes Bradnock who
welcomed members and visitors
to the show. With Mrs. Gor-
don Taylor at the piano, all
sang "0 Canada".
During a brief business ses-
sion the minutes of the last
meeting were read by secretary
Mrs, Lloyd Humphreys and the
treasurer, Mrs. Bert Craig pre-
sented the financial statement.
Plan October Tea
During the meeting the sec-
retary, Mrs. Humphreys, re-
minded members to encourage
the school children to enter the'
junior competitions of floral
pictures and leaf collections,
and the photographic competi-
tion.
Plans were discussed in con-
nection with a Chrysanthemum
tea to be held in October, and
Mrs. Robert J. Phillips, Mrs.
Humphreys 'and Mrs. Arthur
Grange were appointed as a
committee to plan for the
event.
Reports of the O.H.A. meet-
ing at Guelph were given by
Mrs. Phillips and .Mrs, Hum-
phreys, the delegates.

The judges then discussed the
exhibits, commenting the gen-
eral quality of 'the blooins en-
tered in the show was excel-
len t.

Councillors
To Park Free
GODERICH — County .eou.n,-
eillors were told during their
one-day September session they
soon will be issued stickers for
their car windshields so the ve-
hicles may be parked over the
two•hour parking limit at
Courthouse Square.
"There has been considerable
excitement among the 'Memb-
ers of county council regarding
'the two-hour parking," Reeve
Frank Walltom said. "Mem-
bers from Goderich Township
have been vociferous."
The reeve said in the near
future the stickers would: be
issued to' each county council-
lor "that will relieve hem. of
any necessity of moving his car
while attending committee.

gathered at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Gerald Brown recent-
ly to honor Miss Florence Ev-
ans who has retired as church
organist. •
Mr. BroWn, on behalf of
Father McGuire and choir mem-
bers, presented Miss Evans
with a gift "in appreciation of
her long and faithful service
with the choir".
During the evening the choir
presented Father McGuire with
a box of his favorite cigars
to enjoy on his trip to Rome
and Vatican' Council II.
