stitute last .Friday evening. As',

the distribution of special books
bound in the school colors were
school trustees from here, Ralph
D. Shiro and Ted East.
Students from Auburn receiv-
ing these books were Leo Hong-
eriboom, Gloria Jean Lutz,
Margaret Haines, Mantle and
Margie Kaopmans.
Secondary school honor grad-
uation diploma for Grade 13
was presented to Blair Red-
mond, 111i. 2, Auburn. Bernice
McDougall, Margje Koopnyans
and John Wright received dip-
lomas for Grade 12 graduation.
Other awards made were the
Dominion Provincial Bursary to
Magjre Koopirrans. and Branch.
109, Canadian Legion bursary,
Margaret Haines. A former
resident of this district, Sandra
Ware, Goderich, Was awarded
the Donald' Fraser and fancily
scholarship.

ing staff. This is Mrs, S. Hart
who resides here vin Clinton,
From Carleton University,
Ottawa, she obtained her Bach-
elor degree in arts and further-
ing her studies obtained her
Master's degree from Queen's
University, Kingston. She has
been formerly a member of the
teaching staff at Mitchell High.
Mrs. Hart teaches grades 10,
11 and 12 history classes. A
large !amount of the success of
the Press Club this year is the
result of Mrs. Hart's patient
work with us as she is staff-
advisor to the club.
Corresponding with her en-
thusiasm for history, Mrs. Hart
has on equal passion Mr heir-
loom antiques and handcraft
items, Mrs. Hart 'states site
likes ,CDCI and CDCI certainly
likes her.

Every student, no matter how
easy going, or how, quick temp-
ered, always haS some kind of
pet peeve, on, !something he
doesn't like. Here are a few
examples to illustrate this fact:
John Talbot, 9G, wishes the
school had mare holidays and
that he didn't have to go old-
side for physical education on
cold days.

and pink slips for girls.

Clinton, on Monday afternoon
for Beatrice R. Greene, late of
58 East 36til Street, Hamilton.
The Rev. Grant Mills, Ontario
Street United Church, officiated
and interment was in Clinton
Cemetery.
Pall bearers were John L.
Ingoltsrud, Toronto; Murray B.
Thompson, Pont . Hope; C. Don-
ald Lloyd; Wing:barn and Char-
les W. Thompson; Hull, Que.
Born at Cheltenham, Eng-
land, on November 25, 1879,
Miss Greene was the daughter
of the late Rev. Josias 'end Mrs.
Harriet Greene. She was a mu-
sic teacher, instructing in rural
schools and privately, and had
retired at Hamilton. Death
came, of a coronary thrombosis,
after an illness of 21 months.
Surviving are nephews, Dr.
Fred G. Thompson, Clinton and
Charles' M. y Thompson, Port
Hope; niece, Miss Marron E.
Thompson, Hamilton, with
whom .she made her home for,
the past 11 years.
Attending the funeral from a
distance were Mr. and Mrs. Lyn
Morgan and John Kennedy,
Fullerton; C. W. Thompson,
Hull, PQ; Mr. and Mrs. C. W.
Thompson, Mr. and !Mrs. Mur-
ray Thompson', Port Hope; Mr.
