At their general meeting the
Royal Canadian Legion, Clin-
ton Branch 140,. agreed to Pre-
sent the band with a sword, to
be carried by the girl in Charge
of the colour :party. Presenta-
tion of this 'sword .should be

les, Full particulars vvill be
published next week,
The colour party will soon
be increased by another flag,
to be presented by Mrs. Jo,
seph Spencer, Landon, This
.flag represents Scotland,
has a yellow background with
red border about three inehee
from the sides. The main de-
sign is a big red lion, It is
very colourful,
Mrs, Spencer has always
been attracted to the Clinton
Band since it was formed in
1958 and she wished to do
something for it. When' she
saw the colour party doing so
well, she gave the flag of her
native land, to be carried at
the head of the band.
The Clinton Band will not
take part in any Remembrance
Day parades this year, but in-
stead, will attend the corn,
ti
Triunity service in the Legion.
some band members and
majorettes have been tardy on
practice attendance since the
successful Sunday afternoon
show. These members are re-
minded of the band's engage-
went in the Santa Claus 'Par,
ade in London on November
24. Ali thope who do not at ,
tend regularly are holding back
those steady And -reliable mem,
bers who do want a trophy from London.
Finding time tp drive around
in cars, or unfounded excuses
on practice nights will not be
tolerated any mere by the
Bandmaster an ti Directors.
Those particular members are
asked to pull up their socks
and get on the ball with the
rest of the troop, or replace-
ments will be made.
A good show at engagements
is appreciated, but unnecessary
poor attendance at practice, by
majorettes and band members
is not. Let's all get to work
at bringing a trophy back to
Clinton on November 24,
Let's see everyone out t o
practice next Tuesday night,
same place as last Tuesday
night. same Time, On Time,
Majorettes and colour party
will practice on Wednesday

There is an urgent need for

perience is preferred, in both
cases, but beginners will be
accepted and trained on these
instruments, Girls interested in
