Ernie Gibson were co-hostesses
at the former's home, RR 1,
Ripley, when the bride was
honoured by her girl friends
with a shower of miscellaneous
gifts.
A party was held at the nurs-
es residence at Clinton, and
members of the hospital staff
here presented her with a mix-
master.
Neighbours of the bride's
family held a shower at Reid's
Corners Hall, and after a short
program, she received many
lovely and , useful gifts.. Another
shower, attended by relatives,
was held at the home of the
bride's aunt, Mrs. William
Walsh, Kincardine. Gifts of
various paper articles were re-
ceived.
On Saturday, September 8,
Mrs, Cliff Geddes entertained
at their home, holding a trous-
seau tea in honour of her daugh-
ter. She and Marian were as-
sisted in receiving the guests
by the groom's mother, Mrs.
DeRuyter. A cutwork table
cover was centred with an ar-
rangement of pink roses and
candles.
Pouring tea Were Mrs. Wil-
fred Taylor, Mrs, Herb Emmer-
ton, Mrs. Roy Geddes and Mrs.
William Walsh, all of Kincar-
dine, aunts of the bride. Serv-
ing and' assisting with the dis-
play of trousseau and gifts were

for a charming wedding on Sat-
urday, September 22, when Miss
Wilma Wielenga and Bruin
Luneriborg, both of Byron, ex-
changed marriage vows before
the Rev, G. Bourne.
The bride is the daughter of
Mrs, M. Wielenga and the late
Mr. Wielenga and the groom is
the son of Mrs, 5. Lunenborg
and the late Mr. Lunenborg,
both of the Netherlands,
The bride, given in marriage
by Klaas Van Wieren, Hensall,
was gowned in floor length
white organza over net and
taffeta, styled with lace bodice
studded with sequins. A little
crown held her fingertip veil
and she carried pink roses and
stephanotis.
Maid of honour Miss Gert-
rud Wielenga, Blyron, chose a
gown of turquoise brocade with
beige accessories. Bridesmaid,
Miss Irene Van Wieren, Lon-
don, wore sapphire blue peau
de sole with matching hat and
veil and carried pink roses and
white 'mums,
. Patricia Van Wieren, Hensall
was flower girl, frocked in
white peau de soie, with match-
ing flower bandeau and veil,
and she carried a basket of
pink roses and white 'mums,
Bill Uil, Byron, was best man.
Peter Bakelaar, Clinton, and
Herman Van Wieren, Hensall,
ushered guests.
Mr. Quarter London, provid-
ed traditional wedding music
at the organ console. The wed-
ding reception was held in the
church parlours. For their
honeymoon trip to Northern
Ontario the bride changed to
a beige two-piece suit with ac-
cessories in brown, with which
she wore an orange rose cors-
age. They will reside in Byron.

grey wool suit, white accessor-
ies and a corsage of pink carn-
ations. She was 'assisted by the
groom's mother who wore a
navy blue dress, beige eccees-
ores and a corsage, of pink

was maid of honour for her
sister. She wore' dream blue
peau de soie with scoop neck-
line, fitted torso and bell-shap-
ed skirt, and carried a cascade
of white gladioli. Bridesmaids
Mrs, Floyd Johnston, Kincar-
dine, another sister of the bride;
Mrs, Hugh Mason, RR 1, Rip-
ley and Miss Leny DeRuyter,
RR 1, Bayfield, a sister of the
groom, were gowned in ocean
spray blue, styled similarly to
the maid of honour, and they
carried similar flowers.
Gerrit Duizer, RR 5, Clinton,
was groomsman and ushers
were two brothers of the
groom, Andy Verhulst and Jake
DeRuyter and Floyd Johnston,
Kincardine.
Wedding music was played
by Mrs. Ernie Gibson, RR 3,
Goderich, who accompanied the
soloist. Miss Betty Middel, Clin-
ton, sang "The Wedding Pray-
er" and "0 Perfect Love".
For the reception, the com-
munity hall was decked with
baskets of white and pink glad-
ioli, and white and pink bells
and streamers. The bride's
mother, Mrs. Geddes received
her guests in pale blue- linen
sheath with matching duster,
white and blue accessories and
a corsage of pink carnations.
Mrs. DeRuyter, the groom's
mother, wore beige linen sheath
with rose. and beige accessories
and a corsage of rose carna-
tions,
Leaving for ',their western
'trip, the bride donned a pale
blue linen sheath with figured
blue bodice and fitted bolero,
a flowered blue hat, navy ac-
cessories and a corsage of red
roses. Upon their return they
will live on the groom's farm
at RR 2, Bayfield.
Prior to the wedding the
bride was guest of honour at
the home of Mrs. Keith Elliott,
Stratford, when classmates of
1958, Stratford School of Nurs

and wine coloured gladioli and
candelabra formed the setting
for the wedding ceremony unit-
ing in marriage Marian Pearl
May, and Dwayne Garvin Tin-
ney, at James Street United
Church, Exeter, on Saturday,
September 15.
The bridd is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. C. Hedley May,
RR 1, Centralia, and the
groom's parents are Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Tinney, RR 1, Exe-
ter, Rev, S. E. Lewis perform-
ed the double ring ceremony.
Lawrence Wein provided wed-
ding music and accompanied the
soloist Richard McCutcheon,
Elliott Lake.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a tradition-
al floor-length gown of white
French, brocade in sheath style.
Offsetting the slim line of the
gown was a full detachable
overskirt of bridal silk taffeta
that swept out to the sides
and back to a chapel train, The
fitted bodice was styled with
scoop neckline, lily point sheath
sleeves. Two hand made roses
at`the back accented the waist-
line. A crown of pearls held her
bouffant veil of pure silk illus-
ion. She carried,a semi-crescent
of white shaggy 'mums.
The colour scheme of the
flowers at the altar was re-
peated in the , dresses of the
bridal attendants: Mrs. Ross
Hodgert, RR 1, Woodham, sis-
ter of the bride, as matron of
honour and Miss Karen Tinney,
sister of the groom, Miss Betty
Parker, London and Miss Pat
Cann, Exeter, as bridesmaids.
They were gowned alike in
cherry wine satin in cocktail
length. They 'all carried white
shaggy 'mums.
, Flower girl, Diane Hodgert,
niece of the bride, wore a white
terylene, batiste dress with
cherry wine sash and carried
a basket of wine gladioli and
white 'mums. Richard May,
nephew of the groom, was ring-
bearer.
The groom was attended by

maid of honour, and Miss Nancy
Claire Pryde, Toronto, was
bridesmaid. They were gowned
in duchess •blue peau de sole,
fashioned with full skirts and
sunburst effect jackets. Their
headpieces were matching blue
flowers with veils, and they
carried miniature cascades of
coral spartan roses.
