swim, at the Canadian Notional
Exhibition! on Opening Day of,
the big fair on August 17. First
prize will be $6,000, and there
will be $1,500 for the first wog
man to finish.,
Taking part 'will be swim-
mers from Michigan California,
Holland, Denmark, New Eng-
land, Venezuela, Massachusetts,
Illinois New York, as well as
from e:interio and Quebec, and
will include Cliff Lumsden, now
31 years old, and a veteran of
Lake Ontario .swims and others.

Rev. Walter Spence officiat-
ed. Miss Evelyn Snyder, soloist,
was accompanied at the organ
by Miss' Ali& Ualter, -
The bride, given in 'marriage
by her tmele, Walter McIntyre,
was charming in , a full length
gown' of while silk organza over
taffeta. The scalloped neckline,
sleeves and Skirt were adorned
by taffeta ,appliques. Her full
skirt fell .softly to a short theta
in back. Her short veil of .Silk
illusion Was held by a crown
of stephanotis% She carried Fuji
'mums and stephanotis,
Mrs. Dennis. Fletcher attend-
ed the bride as, matron of
honour while Misses Donna
Course and Diane McIntyre
were bridesmaids. Little Susan
Bryant, Fort William, was
flower girl. They chose &latch-
ing street dresses of silk
organza over taffeta with bell
overskirts. Mrs. Fletcher wore
pale green while the -other at-!
tendants were in Yellow. Their
headdresses were matching pi ll-
b.ox hats and they carried mar-
guerites. Susan carried a has-
ket of the same,

church lounge after which the
couple left for Ontario.
