A recent item in the Times-Advo-
cate in reference to the large elm
tree On the property of Miss Grigg
brought out an interesting story
Which occurred many years ago. At
that time Mr. E. A. Follick who con
ducted a bake-shop a few doors south
of the property and who has always
been a lover of birds savr a bird
hanging from the top branoiies of
the tree. It was caught by a string
ar«und its foot. Mr. Follicfe climb
ed a high board fence that then sur
rounded the .property, scaled the tree
and sated the bird’s life.

Mrs. Maude Harvey, 61 Byron Ave
London, was removed to Victoria
Hospital by police ambulance about
9 o’clock Sunday night when she was
knocked down by a car not far from
her home. Hospital authorities said
her injuries were not of a serious
nature.
