Sceli driver for the Western Foundry Co.^ Wingham, came before Magistrate Hawkshaw, in court on Friday the result of an accident when the truck he was driving sideswiped an auto driven by Perry Plumsteel, of Clinton. Mr. Pletch gave a very interesting ser­ mon on “Greetings and Gifts." Misses Ruby and Norma Finkbeiner sang “Immanuel”. This service was very beautifully climaxed when the Sunday School classes contributed their white gifts at the foot of the cross. The Christmas entertainment of the Evangelical Church will be held on Friday evening December 24th. The primaries and juniors will ren­ der a miscellaneous program after which a drama will be presented en­ titled “The Guiding Star.” No ad­ mission is being charged but an of­ fering will be received. All are cord­ ially invited to attend. Tlhe community Christmas Tree has ‘been erected on Main Street in front of the town hall and presents a gay Christmas spectacle with its strings of highly colored lights. The town trustees, who are respon­ sible for these decorations deserve credit for their work. The decora­ tions are the subject of favorable comment by the citizens and visitors to the village.
