The representatives in Detroit, of Mr. Frank McGregor sued the executors of the estate of the late Andrew Slater, claiming that they were the parties entitled to a legacy of 54000.00 given in Mr. Slater’s will. On the other hand it was contended that owing to Mr. McGre­ gor’s death, in Mr. Slater’s lifetime the money should be heirs of Mr. Slater, reserved. Mr. K. C. The President Miss Ethel Kydd pre­ sided over the opening exercises. Miss Barbara Atkinson had charge of the devotional exercises. The minutes of the previous meetiiig were read and adopted after which the secretary, Miss Alma Brown read a letter from Rev. Kannawin describing the work in the’ Peace River District. It was of interest to the members as Dr. Margaret Strang iSavage is in this Mission Field, It was decided to raise a fund for this worthy project. 'The guest speaker of the evening was Mrs. G. -S. At'kiiu- son, who gave an interesting talk on her nursing experiences in New York and Chicago. The subject was "Rich- es and Poverty.”’ Miss Kathleen Strang gave an interesting review of the Mission work being carried on on the coast of British 'Columbia.
