Finkbeiner, who attended the O, E, A, Convention in Toronto last Eas­ ter as a delegate of the section gave ,his report, There was some discus­ sion as to obtaining a water supply from the school well which has not been in use for some time. iSo far two' samples of the water had been taken ‘but found unsatisfactory. It was decided to drill with an auger to the water supply to- see if a better sample could be obtained. Trustee H. C. Beaver was re-elected for a tliree-year term and the caretaking of the school was awarded to Ern­ est Guettinger. Unfortunately these annual meetings, are not very well attended. The mild weather has kept the boys from flooding the rink so horse-shoe pitching is taking the place of skating. If any of the sur­ rounding villages or towns would like a friendly game they could -get in touich with N. B. Doupe and have it arranged. The ice storm on New Year’s Eve has put the hydro out of business and those with electric radios have had to go without hearing Amos and Andy for a few nights. The tele­ phone system also has suffered and much damage was done. Wires are broken and poles down on a good many lines. The annual meeting of the United Sunday School was held On Wednes­ day night. The reports show the school to be in a flourishing condi­ tion.
