The Welfare Youth Club Presby-terlau Church held meeting on Monday night with the president. Miss Blanche Mustaru having charge of the meeting. He also gave a very fine and inspiring address on “Young people’s Work.” One of the most interesting fea­ tures of the evening program was the addresses of -two young men. Speaking from the standpoint of the Iboy and! his attitude to the church. These speakers were Mr. .Boudaugh of Seaforth, and Mr. McGregor, of Grand Bend. A committee was appointed- con­ sisting of Rev, S. J. Mathers, Rev. R. R. Connors, Mr, F. S. Savage and Mr. Baudaugli to arrange for a Boys Camp next summer. These four also appeared before the altar and wait­ ed for the word to take up the col­ lection. The President Mrs. White occupied the chair and the meeting was open­ ed by singing hymn 348. Mrs. Chas. Godbolt then lead in prayer. The minutes of the last meeting were read1 and adopted. The Roll Call was responded to by a scripture verse. Mrs. Ed. Johns read the scripture lesson. We had as our visitors quite a number of the mem­ bers of the Thames Road W. M. S. and after the lesdon was read the President of that Society, Mrs. John Cann, took the chair and the visit­ ors presented a splendid program. Ater the close of the meeting a vfery enjoyable social time was’ spent labile the. lunch was being eaten. The Live Oak Mission. Circle met I for -their regular monthly, meeting a-t fthe home of Miss Mary Herdman last Thursday afternoon with 12 members present. Mrs. Jas. Kirk­ land had charge and opened with the hymn “The morning light is Breaking” followed by prayer by Mrs. White. The scripture lesson fr-om Psalm 26 was read by Mrs. W. Routly. The hymn “The Whole World was Lost in the Darkness of Sin” was then sung. The Roll Call was answered by a Beautitude. Min­ utes of the last meeting were read and adopted and some business dis­ cussed. The Devotional Leaflet, “James, the Man of Science” was read by Miss Dorothy Del bridge. Dhe Herald, Miss Margaret Johns reported on Africa. The study which was on Korea was taken by Misses Mary Herdman, Mae Coward andt Audrey Prance. Anthony in the chair The meetiug opened with singing followed by a bible reading •by Miss Monteith. The gathering then divided into groups and a questionaire was presented with questions and answers from the Bible. A very interesting address was given iby Mr. Anthony on the above questionaire together with current events. It was decided to hold the next meeting the first Wed­ nesday in November. FuBarton Horticultural Society A meeting of the directors of the Fullarton Horticultural Society met at the home of Mrs A. Roach, Thurs­ day evening, October 22nd. There were ten directors present.
