A Warning
It is reported around town that
a young man going to his home on
the London Road near Exeter in a
lonely sipot came upon a young girl
screaming at the toil of her voice
and four young liodlums attempting
to drag her down. It seems that one
of them went to Exeter and invited
a young girl he met on the street
to go for a drive with him leaving
three companions a mile and a
quarter out of town with the promise
that.he would return as soon as he
secured a girl which lie apparently
did. This rumour should be- investi
gated by the Crown Authorities as
the young man who witnessed it is
reliable and the main reason for
publishing this is a warning to
young girls of the awful risk they
are taking of going away driving
with men they do not know.
