Four young, men from London who were out -on a hit'ch-htke from London to Bayfield called at the Times-Advocate Monday morning Jiaving been given a lift several times between London and Exeter. The boys were travelling light and were spending a few days at a sum mer cottage in Bayfield and were in excellent spirits when they went through town. The study on japan was taken 'by Mrs, (Rev.) White, Misses Mary Herdman, Flor ence Bell and Margaret Johns. Hymn 99 was then sung and Mrs, (Rev.) White closed the meeting with prayer. The Friendly Workers Mission Band held- a very successful concert oix Good Friday evening in the church. A large number were pres ent and we believe all thoroughly enjoyed the program given entirely by home talent mostly by members of the Band, Recitations, reading, vocal and piano solos, dialogues al so Pantomine and a pageant; also three choruses by the children com prised the entertainment. ..Rev. Mr. White capably filled the position of chairman. Quite a few numbers were very appropriate for the Eas tei’ season and all were most credit ably presented, while others were of a humorous nature and added var iety in .pleasing proportion. The Pantomine “Rock of Ages” was given by six young girls while little Misses knelt Munch being •''The Challenge of the Cross” beautiful pageant, Mrs. White took the leading role of Evan gel and the disciples were represent-, ed by Misses Elva Horne, Verna Brock, Marjorie Delbridge, Lavona Cooper, ‘ Bernice March and Ruth Skinner. All were dressed in white. Members of the clioii’ who were con cealed sang several hymns between the parts foy the disciples. At the close they all-knelt with their cross es and samg together. These last two numbers were given with the stage lighted only by ,a spot light and were very beautiful. . Much i credit is due the leader of the Band, j Mrs. E.
