Harry Carey had a peculiar experience in their apart- meets in the Snell block during the past week. ’While working1 around the stove they frequently received an electric shock. They could pever •tell when they picsed up certain ujitensils whether an electric shock would dart through the body and cause them to drop in a hurry what ever they had touched, At one time Mr. Carey stuck his finger into a container with water on the sfove to test the temperature and lie re ceived such a shock as to cause film to withrow the blind rapidly. .Air. H» AV. Doerr, hydro superintendent' was called in 'and made some invest igations and alterations and the ’fol lowing day when the hydro inspector from London was in town he visited the apartments and explained that the cause was static electricity which •name from some of the new rugs end passing through the body at .certain times created a shock, on handling certain utensils. s CHOICE SHORTHORN ROES TO Qestricher Bros., of the Cloverdale Stock.'■Farm, Credlton, h^ye/soid'it. young 14 months old bull, one of the young bulls they have bred and shown throughout Huron County full fairs during the past fall, to Al’r. BARLEY GROWERS IN PERTH HURON AND BRUCE WILL BENEFIT The order for 1,000,000 bushels of Ontario barley which has been placed by the Canada Afalting Com pany, is a substantial one consider ed in proportion to the amount of ■barley grown in the province. Sta tistics for 1929 show that Perth rais ed 7S5.049 bushels of barley that year. Huron raised 1,039,890 bu shels and Bruce 6 80;-281.
