were guests of Rev. A. E. and Mrs.
Elliott at -the (Main St., parsonage on
Sunday.
Mr. Paul Coates, who underwent
an operation in St.. Joseph’s Hospit
al, London, returned to iris home on
Saturday and is making a satisfac
tory recovery.
Mrs. D. Elliott, of Brantford, is
visiting with her son Rev. A. E. and
Mrs. Elliott ,at the Main St. Parson- -
age. Mrs. Elliott expects to spend -
the winter here.

quired five stitches’ to close.

pied the pulpit of the James Street
United Church Sunday evening in the
interests of temperance. A forum
was held at the close of the service.
Miss Marion Bissett was taken to
Victoria Hospital, London on Friday
of last week where she underwent
an operation for appendicitis. Her
friends will be pleased to know that
she is making -a satisfactory recov
ery.
