Twenty-six memlbers and a num
ber -of friends were entertained at
the home of Mrs. Stanley Mitchell
on Wednesday afternoon. The roll
call was answered by “A suggestion
for a Cold Drink.” It was decided
to have a lawn social -in the near
future. Our Institute have planned
to exhibit at the Western Fair this
fall and the articles chosen to be
shown are patchwork quilts and
pillow cases made out of .sugar sacks
A splendid program then followed,
the first being a solo by Evelyn Corbett; a short talk on the motto "A
stitch in time saves nine” by Mrs. G.
Bolton; Mrs. Goll'ings then gave a
real interesting Travel Talk on her
trip to England. Little Buddy, Steep
sang several songs accompanied by
violin. IMr. Clenis then favoured us
with a solo also a violin solo and
Miss Kathryn Drysdale with a gui
tar solo. Mrs. A. Rundle then mov
ed a hearty vote of thanks to all 'taking part. The meeting closed
in the usual way and lunich was,
served out on the lawn and a social
half hour was spent. The August
meeting is to be held at the home
of Mrs. Arthur Ford and the losing
side of the contest are to provide
lunch. It is also children’s day and an invitation is extended to all
children to be present. The roll call
13 to be answered by a "riddle.”
