Niergarth of Cleveland, Ohio, who preached in. the Evangelical church on Sunday morning was en tertained by Mr. and Mrs. J. N. Mor- Morlock. Mr. George Mawliinney and. iMr, John Hirtzel attended the con- cVention of the Ontario Education Association held in Toronto last week as the -delegates of their schools The Annual Conference of the Evangelical church met at Zurich the past week with Bishop S.* P. Spreng of Naperville, HI., as chair- The appointments were rend night, following are to our communities, returns to Crediton year; A. U. Sauer to Z. Dreler to Zurich; H. A. Kellerman to Waterloo; F- B. Meyer to Rodney; J. M. Oestreiclier to Rosenthal; E. H. Bean to Hanover E. Brom, Milverton. In spite of the heavy losses hy death and removals the church registers a numerical gain. C. Cornwall was ordained elder and M. Durst, E.E. Pletch, C. Heck- endorn were ordained, deacons. We rejoice over the addition, of these latter four young men into the Can ada Conference. C. Yonsen a promis ing candidate was voted license as probationer. On Sunday both the Evangelical Church and Town Hall were used for services morning af ternoon and evening. . The resolution committee at the Annual Conference took special no tice of the absence of a number of its usual members. Rev. M. L. Wing who was absent for the first time in fifty years of service but we hope for his -speedy recovery and contin ued service now as an energetic member of the Calvary Memorial Church Kitchener; Rev. N. H. Reib- ling who suffered a nervous collapse the past' year and sustains a super annuated relation to the church for one year, he is recovering rapidly. No one. would have enjoyed the Conference more than the late J. H- Holtzmann. Brenner' The funeral of the late Mrs. Christina. Brenner, who died at the home of her daughter in Zurich on Thursday morning was held on Sun day afternoon with Rev. Ness offic iating. Interment in the Bronson Line cemetery..
