Clinton. and District Obituaries
This year, the Redmen are
reliving the record of two years
ago, when they had lost every
game and then came through
to win the last one, Will his-
tory be repeated? We 'at the
Collegiate hope not.
Last Thursday, the Clinton
boys failed to prove •they are
made .of better' "stuff" than
thengoderich Trojans who did
not vin a game during last•
year's season.
Clinton opened the scoring in
the early part of the first qu-
arter when full-back Ralph
Trevvartha nailed a .Goderieh
'man' behind his' goal hie for a
safety touchdown and one point.
Minutes later, half-back Bill
Murney kicked the ball through
the uprights for 3-point field
goal,
CDCI Magazine Sale
Scheduled Next Week
The students of CDCI will
conduct their annual magazine
campaign commencing Monday,
Oetober 23 and' ending Friday,
October 27. Mr. Dean of •Curtis
Publishing Company will be in
the school Thursday and Fri-
day speaking to the student
,body. Support the Students'
Council and buy or renew your
subscription from the repres-
entative who will be ealling at
your door.
From that point on: Clinton
was unable to score and God,
mech marched up and down the
field to the tune 'of three tou-
chdowns. The Redmen did
everything in their power to
try to stop the men of Troy
but apparently everything in
their power isn't, or wasn't
good enough, Final score; God-
erich 18; Clinton 4.
Today, October 19, the' Red-'
men visit Seaforth, We are all
'hoping they will come home
with a good showing. Who
knows? Maybe Seaforth will
lose to the Redmen who still
have a chance, a waning ch-
ance, to make a comeback a-
gainst the squads of the neigh-
bouring towns.
