A Pipe Band Tatoo will be
held in the agricultural park,
Goderich, on Friday, August 4,
sponsored by the Royal Cana-
dian Legion, Branch 109 Pipe

member of the fife and drum
band of Clinton Loyal Orange

River District. She returned to
Brucefield in 1950 and had liv-
ed with her son and his family
at 1024 Talbot Street, St.
Thomas, since September.
She is survived by her Son
Donald, and three grandchild_
ren, Angus, Jayne Ann and
Mary 1VIargaret.
Service was' conducted by the
Rev. A. H. Johnston, Bruce-
field from the Beattie funeral
home, Clinton Saturday and
burial was in Baird's cemetery,
Stanley Township.
Pall-bearers were Raymond
Falkins, John Moffatt, Arnold
Taylor, Bob Dalrymple, W. D.
Wilson and Mac Wilson. Flow-
er-bearers were Stuart Wilson,
Norman Baird, Harold and Al-
lan Nicholson,.

Wilbert Edward Glanville, 52,
of lot 25, con. 9, Hibbert Town-
ship, died at his home as a
result of a heart attack Wed-
nesday, July 19. •
He is survived by hiS wife;
the former Lucinda Neeb; his

Riley, Lucan; Meryle Glanville,
Seaforth; Mrs. Tom (Marion)
Penhatle, Exeter; Donna, Mar-
jorie and Cecil at home; two
brothers, Charles and Melvin
Hensall; and three
sisters, Mrs. Jack (Beulah)
McKay, Seaforth; Mrs. Orval
(Clara) Cooper, Kipper, and
Mrs. John (Letha) Miller, Sea-
forth, and 17 grandchildren.-
Service from the Hewer-
Hockey funeral home, Exeter,
was held Friday afternoon,
July 21 and burial in Exeter
cemetery.
Mrs. Lucy Swan
Funeral service was conduct-
ed on Sunday, July 23, for Mrs.,
Lucy Swan, who passed away
in Clinton on Thursday, July
20. Service was from the Ball
and Mutch funeral home, Clin-
ton., by the Rev. Grant L. Mills,
minister of Ontario Street .Unit-
ed Church. Interment was in
Greenhill Cemetery, Lucknow.
Pall-bearers were Tom Oliver,
Frank Mutch, Douglas! Thorn-
dike, Roy Tyndall, James Tur-
ner and Charles Wilson. Six
grandsons were flower-bearers,
Alvin Potter, Gordon and Don-
ald Swan, Brian and Gary Swan
and Steven Maguire.
Mrs. Swan was born in Hul-
lett Township on October 29,
1886, the daughter of the late
Fred Lockwood and Mary Jane
Tolland. She married Joseph
William Swan Who predeceased
her.
She had lived in Lucknow
and area, before corning to Cain,
ton 32 years ago. She was a
member of Ontario Street Unit-
ed Church, Clinton.
Surviving are two sons, Har-
old F. Swan, Clinton, and J.
Clarence Swan, Kitchener; three
daughters, Mrs. Gear ge E.
(Helen) Potter; Mrs. Harold
(Pearl) Squire; Mrs. M. (Jean)
Maguire, all of Clinton; three
brothers, William Lockwood,
Comber; Wilbert Lockwood,
Toronto end Roy Lockwood,
Saskatchewan; four sisters, M.
Russell (Bessie) Colclough,
Clinton; Mrs. Louis (Clara)
Powers, St. Thomas; Mrs. Leslie
(Janet) Osborne, St. Thomas';
Mrs. James (Mabel) Wiggins,
Detroit; eleven grandchildren
and one great-grandson.
Persons attended the funeral
from Toronto, Kitchener, St.
Thomas, Lucknow, Keswick and
Detroit, as well as locally.

Funeral service was conduct-
ed on Saturday, July 22, from
the Ball and Mutch funeral
home, 153 High Street, Clinton,
for Amy Gertrude Blowen, be-
loved wife of Edward J. Smith,
Cliniton. The Rev. Peter L. Dy-
mond, rector of Sit. Paul's Ang-
lican Church officiated.
Pall.-bearers were Cecil Car-
nick, Robert 'Carrick, Jr., Wil-
liam Carrick, Reg. Smith, Jr.,
Ronnie Smith and Douglas
Smith. Flower-bearers were
Dennis, Kenneth and Steven
Smith. Interment was in Clin-
ton Cemetery.
Mrs. Smith was born at Red-
ditch, England, the daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard
Blowen
Surviving are two sons, John
E. Smith, RR 4, Clinton and'
Reginald Smith, Clinton and one
daughter, Mrs. Marion Carrick,
Taranto.

Requiem high mass was con-
ducted at St. Peter's church, St.
Joseph, Friday morning, July
21, for Rev. Isadore J. Pols-
son, the parish priest Who died
enroute to London hospital late
Tuesday afternoon, July 18.
The 'body rested in state at
the church until the service, at
which R.t. Rev, A. P. Mahoney,
Wesley-Willis Picnic
The annual nursery and baby
band picnic of Wesley-Willis
United Church was held Wed-
nesday, July 18 at the 'Clinton
Community Park. There the
ample facilities of the park af-
forded a good time for all the
youngsters present (about 25)
and many of the mothers came
to give their ,assistance.
A delicious picnic lunch was
served by the !teachers, Mrs.
Wilfred Jervis and Mrs. D.
PAVG, St. Peter's Seminary,
London, officiated.
Msgr. Mahoney was 'assisted
by Rt. Rev. W. Bourdeau, DP,
London., 'as deacon and Rev. A.
Caron, Sit. Joachim, as sub-dea-
con.
The sermon was delivered by
Rev. 0. Martin, River Canard,
a former priest at St. Peter's.
Friday afternoon, the body
was conveyed to Belle River,
where it lay in state in Sts.
Simons and Jude church until
Saturday at 10 a.m., when
requiem high mass was held,.
Interment was in the parish
cemetery.
Father Poisson died while he
was being driven to hospital by
Philip and Anthony Denonime,
Drysdale.
He was• priest of St. Peter's
for the past seven years and
is a native of the Belle River
area.
Surviving are six brothers.
Alfred, Edmond, William, •Dr.
Paul, Dr. Adelard and Rene,
all of the Windsor area, and
one sister, Sarah, of Belle Riv-
er.
Father Poisson marked his
63rd birthday in April.

Wednesday, July 19.
Wreaths 'in memory of past
members were placed 'by Harold
Hibbert, president of the Kins-
men Club of Goderich, which
sponsors an annual picnic for
the •a-fasters; by Mrs, Peter
McCauley, president of the
Kinette Club of Goderich and
by Mayor E., C, Fisher.
There were 90 members of
the Octogenarian Club of God-
erich attending The lath annual
picnic in 'the park. John Flick,

Mrs. M. McKenzie
Mrs. Margaret May McKen-
zie, Brucefield', passed away on
Thursday, July 20, at the Clin-
ton Public Hospital in her 77th
year.
Mrs. McKenzie was the dau-
ghter of the late Peter Camp-
bell and Jean Baird. Her moth-
er's family were among the
first settlers in Huron County.
Her husband' died in 1960 and
a son, Kenneth, died in 1950.
Mrs. McKenzie was an 'active
church worker. She was a mem-
ber of the Brucefield United
Church and the Woman's As-
