ed to her home last weekend.
She had spent the winter with
her family in Toronto and
vicinity. Miss Mary E. As-
quith, Cooksville, brought her
mother home and Mrs, Edna
Clement, Mrs. Asquith's sister,
will remain for a longer visit.
Craig Peters, Clairmont, is
the new student minister at the
Baptist Church. He has been
attending 1VIoMaster University.
Jahn Agulian left recently af-
ter conducting services here
and an Clinton Baptist Church
for the past four years. A na-
tive of Lebanon, he lattended
Bible school and also graduated
this year from the University
of Western Ontario, London,
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph D. Mun-
ro and Glen Youngblut, Ed-
monton, attended the .gradua-
tion ceremony of Bob Young-
blut at London last Friday.
Mr's. Arthur Grange 'also 'at-
tended this ceremony to see
her son-in-law, Robert Singh,
graduate from the University of
Western Ontario.

The A.Y.P.A. of St. Mark's
Anglican Church met at the
home of Misses Mary and Diane
Kirkcoinlnell. The devotional
period was :taken by Barbara.

the president, was in charge
of 'the business period. Plans
were made to attend the ban-
quet and dance at Exeter on
May 30 of The Young People
of the Huron Deanery.

discussion on future plans for
the Church of England in Cana, -
da, and closed the meeting
with prayer. Lunch was sere,
ed by Mrs. Andrew Kirke -or
nell assisted by Mrs, John
Daer.
Walkerburn
The Walkerburn Club met at
the home of 1VIrs. Elliott Lapp
with the president, Mrs. George
Schneider in charge. Mrs.
James Jackson was at the pia-
nro. Mrs. Stewart Ament led
iso 'prayer. The minutes were
read by Mrs. Lorne Hunking
and roll call was answered by
18 members and three visitors,
each telling if they were .fin-
ished with their housecleaning.
Most of the ladies reported to
have just started.
The program was in charge
of Mrs. Stewia.rt Ament and
Mrs, Garth McClinchey and
they had presented a plastic
demonstration. This was fol-
lowed by a sale of home-made
baking. The draw donated by
Mrs. Ted Hunking was won by
Mrs. Percy Vincent.
Plans were made to give a
parting gift to their secret sun -

Mrs. Arthur Grange inntro-
duced the guest speaker, Mins
Ida White, R.N., m:isaionery on
furlough from the Mil Field
in India. She spoke on her
work gas superintendent of the
mobile clinic and the need to
help these people to the Chris-
tian way of life. She showed
many interesting pictures of
that country and the people.
Mrs. J. Hildebrand thanked
Miss White for her informative
address and presented her with
a gift on behalf of the Dorcas
Group, and also presented Mrs.
C Vincent.
Mss, Kenneth McDougall,
presided for the business meet-
ing and the minutes were read
by the assistant secretary, Miss
Duna Mhutch. Miss Viola
Thompson read the Thank -you
notes and four visits were re-
ported :by the committee. The
treasurer, Mrs. Rdbert Arthur
gave the finanlcial statement
showing a balance of $278.
Mrs. William Straughan re-
ported for the kitchen com-
mittee regarding the purchase
of trays and shelves for the
warming closets. Each group
made plans for tea towels and
Mrs. E. Taylor will be in ch-
arge of these new towels do-
nated by each group.
All the ladies were invited
to a joint meeting with the
other ladies of Westfield and
Donnybrook when Rev. H. A.
Funge will speak on the new
organization United Church
women. Mrs. McDougall clos-
ed the meeting with prayer and
the ladies of the Dorcas group

Explorers Meet
The Explorers met in the ch-
urch basement for the last time
this season on Thursday after
school. The meeting began with
the hymn "This is My Father's
`World," followed by repeating
the Explorer Purpose.
Roll call was answered by
11 members. Treasurer's report
was followed by collection and
prayer, Beverly Lee and Shir-
ley Hunting were in charge
of worship service.
The last part of the meeting
was spent by each Explorer
writing a story of what they
did during the year. "Children
Who Walk in Jesus Way" was
sung, followed by the Explorer
prayer. Chief Explorer Larne
Miller declared the expedition
ended.
