elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs,

The bride wore a ballerina-
length dress of pale yellow silk
orgagmi over taffeta, .organza, ap-
pliqued flowers nrourld --the waist-
line tapering to a point qt base
of the V-shaped neckline: and a
full skirt, She wore a small pill-
box hat of yellow organza trimmed
with 'sequins holding a shoulder-
length veil. She- wore a corsage
of yellow and white carnations.
Mrs. Alvin Plunkett, sister of
the groom, was matron of honour,
and wore a ballerina-length gown
of pale blue crystallette styled
with full skirt and v-shaped peek-
line, white hat and a corsage of
blue and white carnations.
The groom was attended by his
brother, Norman MeClinehpY, RR
2, Auburn.
A family dinner followed at The
Gordon Daer is a patient. in
Goderich hospital where he is suf-
fering from a sliver in his hand.

Little Miss Cynthia Campbell
returned to her home last week,
after spending a couple of weeks

Mir. and Mrs. Harry Sturdy and
Ross, and Mrs. George Sturdy,
RR 5, Clinton, visited in Auburn
last Thursday evening with Mr.
and Mrs. Keith Arthur -and fam-
ily. Mrs. G. Sturdy also visited
with Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Mog-
ridge.
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon R. Taylor
spent the weekend at St. Cath-
arines with their daughter, Mrs.
Ronald Rathwell, Mr. Rathwell,
Michael and Janice, Mrs. •Taylor
remained for a week's visit.
Mrs. Keith Meehan and Mrs.
Ed. Davies attended the 4-H Club
Leadership Training School at
Wingham for the project "Meat
in the Menu", on Monday and
Tuesday.
Miss Mary Clark, nurse-in-
training at Stratford General Hos-
pital, spent the weekend with her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fordyce
Clark.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Marsh have
moved to Auburn and will make
their home with her parents, Mr,
and Mrs. Herbert Mogridge. Mrs.
Gladys Hull, Brussles, has been
assisting at the Mogridge hone
since the first of the year, left
'for her home last week. We wel-
come Mr. and Mrs. Marsh back
to 'the Auburn community.

The ladies of St. Mark's Angli-
can Church met for their Febru-
ary meeting at the home of Mrs.
Clifford Brown with 22 present. A
birthday hymn was sung for Mrs.
John McNichol, "From every
stormy wind that blows" with
Mrs. Gordon Taylor presiding at
the ?ravers were said by
Mrs. Thomas Ifaggitt.
Losgon from I Chronicles was
read by Mrs.- Andrew Kirkconnell.
The study book was taken by Mrs.
Clifford Brown and she read a
letter from Phyllis Cowan Who
went to Pakistan to teach in the
Kinnaird College. The topic on
Prayer was given by Mrs. Robert
J. Phillips. Mrs. John McNichol
gave a very interesting account of
her recent trip to Florida.
The president, Mrs. Thomas
Haggitt took charge of the busi-
ness period. The minutes were
read by secretary Mrs. Ed. Davies.
Treasurer Mrs. Gordon Taylor
gave the financial statement. Mrs.
Andrew Kirkconnell was appoint-
ed to give the prayers at the
World Day of Prayer on March 4
in the Knox Presbyterian Church.
Roll call was answered by the
paying of pennies amounting to
the size of their shoes doubled. A
vote of thanks was extended to.
Mrs. Gordon Taylor for typing the
1960 programs, and to Mrs. Brown
for "her hospitality.
A card was sent to Rev. R.
Meally from the ladies for a
speedy recovery. The hostess as-
sisted by her sister, Mrs. Thomas
Haggitt and Mrs, Stan Polich serv-
ed a delicious lunch.
The Canadian Girls in Training
met in Knox Presbyterian. Church:-

The assistant leader, Mrs. Dun-
can MacKay discussed the proper
uniform for the girls and it Was
decided to get the CGIT middy in
the near future, The next meet-
ing will follow the printed form
of the world prayer service for
girls.
The offering was received by
,Linda Andrews and dedicated by
Gail Miller. The story was given
by Mrs. Wes Bradnock. Rev. D.
J. Lane spoke a few words to the
girls on their purpose. Closing
PraYer was by Marjorie Young-
blu. The girls then worked on
their sewing project.
