latter has been making splendid pro
gress and was able to be out a little
last week.
Mr. Rd. Davis recently had the
misfortune to fracture a rib and he
is off work for a few days in con
sequence. He was working with a
scoop when the handles flew up one
of them striking him in the dbs.

His Grace, the Archbishop of Hu
ron, was greeted by a large audience
on Sunday night at Trivitt Memorial
church on his annual visit for con
firmation. A class of seven-adults
was presented by the Rector. His
Grace preached a strong and inspir
ing serriion from the text, Deut. VIII
18 “But thou shalt remember the
Lord thy God.”
Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Hardy, of List-
owel, accompanied by their son Jas.
and his wife, of Molesworth and an
other son John, a cheesemaker, in
Ethel, motored over and spent Sun
day with Mr. and Mrs. R. Torry. Mr.
Hardy, Sr. was one of W, H. John
ston’s pupils in S. S. No, 2, Elma 49
years ago. These two had a pleas
ant reunion while Mr. Hardy was
here.
Mr. and Mrs. Syford, of Lapsing,
accompanied, by Mrs. L'eon Cook,
visited Mr. Fred Sotheran and. his
sister Miss Sotheran last week and
when they returned they took back
with- them Mrs. Syfo-rd’s son, Ray
Herig, who has beeii living with Mr,
and Miss Sotheran the last two yearo
and attending school here. Ray
was greatly pleased with Canada and
hopes to come back again.
