Miss Vera Essery was in London Monday attending the funeral of her uncle, the late Robert Essery. Mr. J. S. Harvey was in Toronto for several days last week visiting with his son, Mr. J. M. Harvey, M.A. Mrs. Robt. Keys, of Parkhill, spent the latter part of last week at the homes of Messrs. James and G. Lawson. Mr. Samuel Johnston, on the Bay- field Road, near Brucefield, passed away suddenly on Tuesday while at liis work. Miss E. A. Hogarth has been in Victoria Hospital, London, for sev­ eral days where she underwent a slight operation. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Geddes and Miss O’Brien, of Sexsmith, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. B. W. F. Beavers, on Sunday. Rev. Jas. and Mrs. Foote and dau­ ghter, Elizabeth, and Mrs. McDonald, visited in Windsor and Detroit, Mur­ ing the past week. Dr. McTaggart, 'of Hensail, and Mil G. .Em, McTaggart -and family, of Watford, spent Sunday with the for­ mer’s mother and sister here. ’The auction sale of farm stock and implements, property of the late Chas.
