At the regular monthly meet-
ing of Huron County Federation
of Agriculture, October 23, Bill
Duncan of the Co-Operator's In-
surance Association, outlined the
selling of sbares in the new C.I.A.
Life Insurance Co. now being or-
ganized. Huron 'County has been
allotted 105 shares of $50 each
with a limit of five shares to any
one person. Mr. Duncan stated
that the addition of Life to the
Co-Operators Insurance family
will provide greater stability to the
organization.
After some discussion it was
agreed that the County Federation
would supply the Rural Co-Oper-
ator to all farmers in the county.

of a" Proposed By-Law
for the Town of Clinton.
NOTICE is hereby given that the
Council of the Corporation of the
Town of Clinton will give consid-
eration to the third reading of the
aforementioned By-law at its reg-
ular meeting to be held in the
Town Hall on Thursday, November
6th at 8 o'clock in the evening,
and that all persons who claim
that their land will be pro judically
affected by the By-law or have any
other interest therein may appear
in person or by their Counsel and
will be heard at the said meeting.
The By-law referred to is as
follows:
By-Law Number 14 for 1958
for the Town of Clinton
. By-law to stop up and convey
to The Public Utilities Com-
mission a portion of Ratten-
bury Street in the said Town
of Clinton.
WHEREAS the building owned
by "The Public Utilities Commis-
sion and located at the intersec-
tion of Albert and Rattenbury
Street encroaches over the lands
hereinafter described on a portion
of Rattenbury Street and it has
been deemed expedient to convey
to The Public Utilities Commission
that portion of the street on which
there is an encroachment.
THEREFORE, BE IT ENACT-
ED by the Town of Clinton that:
1. That part of Rattenbury Street
East of Albert Street as shown on
Registered Plan Number 13 for the
Town of Clinton and more partic-
ularly described as: Commencing
at a point in the production of the
Easterly limit of Albert Street at
the distance of 1.7 feet measured
Southerly thereon, from the South-
westerly angle of said Lot 227,
which said point is the point of
intersection of the Easterly limit
of Albert Street with the South-
erly face of the Southerly wall of
the brick building situate on the
South portion of said Lots 227 and
226; thence Northerly, and along
the production of the Easterly
limit of Albert Street, a distance
of 1.7 feet to the. Southwest angle
of said Lot 227; thence South-
easterly along the Northeasterly
limit of Rattenbury Street a dist-
ance of 80.2 feet to the intersec-
tion of the Northeasterly limit of
Rattenbury Street with the East-
erly face of the Easterly wall of
the aforementioned building; thence
Southerly and along the Easterly
face of the Easterly wall of the
said building a distance of 0.9 feet
to the Southeasterly corner of
said building; thence Northwest-
erly and along the Southerly face
of the South wall a distance of
80,2 feet to the point of commence-
rent of the parcel herein describ-
ed, be and the seine is hereby
stopped up.
2, The said lands, as described
in paragraph 1, are hereby direet.

Utilities Commission for the Town
of Clinton for the rum of One
Dollar ($1.00) and the Mayor and
Clerk are hereby authorized to
sign and execute any transfers,
conveyances or assurances that

In addition to Warren Zurbrigg,
county member to the 0..F.A, Win-
ston Shapton, president; Gordon
Greig, second vice-president, and
Mrs. Alex McGregor, lady director
were elected voting delegates to
the O.F.A. annual in Toronto.
The Junior Farmers of the
county will be asked to appoint a'
delegate to the Q.F.A. Annual at
the expense of the County Feder-
ation. Any farmer is welcome to
attend and take part in the discus-
sions. The dates are November
10, 11, and 12, at the Royal York.
A resolution introduced by God-
erich Township was approved for
presentation to County Council:
Resolved that the members of the
County Council come to agree-
ment throughout the county on the
beginning and ending date for
daylight saving time. It was also
agreed that this resolution be pres-
ented to the 0.F,A, for Provincial
action.
A second resolution was pre-
sented from the floor to the af-
fect that farm producers should be
represented on Government Com-
missions where agriculture was in-
volved namely: in land acquisition
through the Ontario Hydro Com-
mission, the Ontario Fuel Board,
and the Department of Highways.
The meeting urged all Federa-
tion Directors to take a very active
part in organizing all possible TV
Farm Forums for the coming seas-
on.
