that corn on the cob, regular feed-grinding, etc., why not
drop in and.look over the
Popular GEHL HAMMER-MILL?
or the

We carry spare parts and service for both these
machines.
Can supply grain and feed augers, elevators and
mixers. We have several used and rebuilt hammer-mills,

HOW TO GET -LAYERS
TO EAT MORE . • • •
Make sure they have plenty of feeder. space . . and
that there is always feed in front of them, (CHECKER-
ETTS seem to have more "appetite appear).
Add a -little fresh mash or CHECKER-ETTS every time
you go into the pen. Stir up with your'fingers. This
attracts their attention( and starts them eating
Put a feeder up on the roosts in the day time. This will
give timid birds a better chance to eat.
Top-feed CHECKERS at noon, scattering them on top of
the mash or CHECKER-ETTS in the feeders. Give them
a good feed of CHECKERS or grain at night (depending
on the feeding plan you are following). Use lights to
lengthen. the feeding day.
If you have a Fair Amount of Grain,
Ordinary Egg Market:
Keep LAY CHOW Mash or CHECKER-
ETTS before birds at all times. Feed
your whole mixed grain night and
morning—more at night. (Make sure
they eat as much LAY CHOW as
grain.) "Top feed" LAY CHOW or
BOOSTER CHECKERS at noon, Self-
feed PURINA OYSTER SHELL. Feed
insoluble grit twice a week-1 5-minute clean-up.
