selected! for export to 'Sweden, 'this
was one of 13 Canadian hogs, pur-
chased by Swedish officials, Swed-
en turned to 'Canada as a country
maleng hog performance
tests 'to determine: (1) rate of
growth; (r2) feed utilization, and
('3) carcass desirability. Rigid
Specifications were set by the.
Swedish breeders for leanness, fast
growth and low feed requirments.
The sow selected wars Meadow-
brook S.aillly 30711VI. The sire is qual-
ified 'in Advanced 'Registry and
the dam has a score of 90. Ali
grandparents are also qualified in
advance registry. The pigs select-
ed were shipped' by air out of
Montreal.

Leading Aircraftsman Harry
Reid, Clinton, has been trans-
ferred to the RCAF's No. 3
Fighter Wing, in Zweibrucken,
Germany, Air Davision head-
quarters at Metz, France, has
announced, LAC Reid is serv-
ing as an aero engine technic-
ian servicing the jet aircraft of
No. 434 squadron, one of eight
Sabre-jet squadrons within Can-
ada's NATO Air Division, in
Europe,
Since his RCAF enlistment in
1954, and preliminary aero en-
gine training, LAO Reid has
been engaged in aircraft climatic
testing at the RCAF's Experi-
mental and Proving Establish-
ment detachment at Namao,
Alberta.
LAC Reid's wife"and their four
children Sandra 12, Constance
10, Gordon 7, and Douglas 6,
accompanied him to Zweibruck-
en. LAC Reid is the son of A.
F. Reid, Clinton.
