The treasurer's report showed a
balance of .$50.68. Roll call was
answered by presenting an article
for the auction and 12 persons
responded. There were two visit-
ors present. Mrs. Tebbutt was
auctioneer and sold the articles.
Plans were Made to purchase
material for two quilts which are
to be made and put in a bale,
Work was done on the quilt and
lunch was served by the hostess,
assisted by Mrs. William Lobb .and
Mrs. Ira Merrill,
Roll call for the next meeting,
at the home of Mrs. Harry Oakes,
will be answered by presenting
articles for the bale which is to
be sent North.

Corless Couple Have
Distinguished Visitor
Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Carless,
recently had a surprise visit from
a relative, whose home is in New
Jersey. Sir Hudson Coi1quboun IVEil-
lar 'had come to 'Canada in search
of his relatives: the Colquhoun and
Mlillllar families, Mrs. Oarless, who
was a Cokohoun motored with
Mr. Miner last -Tuesday to Hib-
bert and Fullerton townships and
they gathered data, which Sir
Hudson Will Compile for his two
sons, who reside in the U.S.A.
He left Clinton en route to Lan-
ark, Ontario, where he hopes to
collect snore interesting informa-
tion as bus, great grandparents
came from Glasgow, Scotland, and
settled in Lanark, early in the
last century.
