After almost twenty-six years in business in
Clinton, we have decided to retire.
We have sold our Grocery Business to Harold
F. Swan, and he takes possession on September
15th. 1958.
We wish to take this opportunity to thank ,our
many friends and customers for their friendship and
patronage during the years we have been in Clinton,
and we hope you will continue to 'show the same
friendship to our successor.

'Charge. Roll call was answered
by 12 members present and one
Visitor, During the buSiness session
at was decided that an auction be
held at the next meeting„ and the
members are' to bring articles of
50 cent value as the roll call. A
quilt was quilted. A picnic lunch
was served. The next meeting Will
be at the home of Mrs, Morgan
Jones.
Farmer's Gift to Son
May Now Be $10,000
A farmer who legally trans-
fers a share of hit: farm to his
wife or to one of his children
for farming purposes., can now
claim • a maximum exemption
from taxation of $10,000 on that
share.
Such a deduction may be
claimed only once by a donor.
The maximum exemption was
preVidusly $4,000.
This increase in tax exemption
came about through an amend-
ment of the Income Tax Act.
