A prominent and highly respected
reSident of 'this village who died
•f Joseiph's Hospital, London,
on Thursday, -October 24, Site was
• to her 58th year.
The former Gertrude Zuefle, she
was ,born in Hensall in 1898. She
was a valued member of Carmel
Presbyterian .Church and was .ac-
tive in all organizations prior to
her death; a former, president,
treasurer, and group leader off the
Ladies Aid, present .secretary of
the Wemen's. Missionary Society;
former treasurer and recording
secretary of Amber Rebekah
Lodge, Hensel',
Surviving are her husband, five
sons, Harold (Bill) and Don, To-
ronto; Ron, Windsor; Jack, Chat-
ham; Bob, Hensall; three daugh-
ters (Ellen) Mrs. Clarence. Knight,
D;seter; Margaret and Alma, 'Fp-
rento; one sister, Mrs. B, Duch,
anan, Hensall; one brother, 1,.erne
Zuefie, Windsor and six grand-
children,

following a brief illness: He was
in his. 62nd year,
Born in Durham. on November
25, 1895, he was the son of the
Bev,. S. H, Findley, pastor of the
Baptist Church, officiated at the
service and at the graveside in
Clinton. Cemetery.
Deceased died suddenly at his
home on Jones Street, Goderich,
on Wednesday, October 23, al,
,though he had previously been in
poor health, lie was born in c‘lin-
ton 62 years ago, a son of the
late W.- and Mrs, James carter,
and in 1,920 was married to Bliza.

Mr, Carter served overseas with
the 58th 'Rattalion, enlisting with
the 110th Perth, pegiment.
Surviving besides his wife is
one son, Maxwell, Seaforth, and
4 daughter, Mrs. Wesley McBride
(Marjorie), Varna:. a brother, Al,
Bert, Clinton and three sisters,
Miss Sarah Carter, Clinton; Mrs.
Melvin Martin -and Mrs, William
Boulton, both of Goderich. There
are also six grandchildren. A bro-
ther, Thomas, passed away a week
ago, in Clinton. -

At home service was held at
nine p.m. in Pairnersiton on Sun-
day evening, and a public service
was held on Monday afternoon,

The Reverend George Morley,
aged 73, who retired as pastor of
Grace United Church, Port Dover,
Ont., six months ago, owing to ill-
health, died at his home in Bel-
mont on October 12, 1957.
