The September meeting of the
Willing Workers was held on Sep-
tember 11 on Clan Gregor Square.
It was opened with them Willing
Worker's Prayer. The president
chose. the topic "Jey" based'. on,
Isaiah which. was followed bnpray- er,
Mrs, Edgar .Rathwell read the
minute's of the August meeting
which • were adopted on. a motion
by Mrs. ;Jack Scotehnier and Mrs.
John Lindsay.
The treasurer's report was giv-
en by Mrs,' Robert Blair. 11„ mem-
bers answered the roll call. The
gift-of-the-month brought by Mrs.
Wilfred Castle was received • by
Mrs. Grant Turner. Thank you
notes were read from Mrs. Logan
Cleave and Gerry Wallis. The card
and flowers report. was given by
Mrs. John Lindsay.
It Was decided to hold the Oct-
ober meeting at the home of Mrs.
Logan Cleave.
Lunch was served by the com-
mittee in charge assisted by Mrs.
Bert Greer.
Scouts Auxiliary
The Ladies'. Auxiliary to Scouts
And Cubs met on September 17 at
the home of Mrs. James A: Cam-
eron.. •
The president, Mrs. Reg. Fran-
cis led the Scout Mothers' prom-
ise, said in unison. She expressed
thanks to the members who. had
helped in a booth' at the Lions
carnival.
The auxiliary .acknowledged a
donation from the Lions Club. Mrs.
Grant Turner gave the secretary-
trea'surer's report and also a state-
ment of cards sents to members
and boys who had been ill.
A motion was passed to purch-
ase a dozen: neckerchiefs for the
Club Pack. It was decided to help
each of the leaders by a set 1ona-
tion towards neW 'uniforms.
Mrs. Lloyd' Scotchmer suggested
that each member entertain by
home games, the proceeds of which
to be turned in before November
19n as a means of raising money
for the above purposes. This plan
was accepted..
The next meeting I will be held
on November 19 at the :home of
Mrs. R, Francis. The officers for
the ensuing year will be elected
then.

Qne evening last week, Mrs,
MacKenzie's daughter, Mrs.
,Colin Campbell, beard a scratch-
ing ..at the front window. She-
:got a f1, 4shlight, and there was
Mrs. (or Mr.?) Coon staring at
her through' the glass,
Mrs Campbell went out on
the verandah, armed with a
broom, and brushed the animal
from its hold on the upper sash,
It ran off under a shrub, and
She went indoors satisfied that
she'd frightened it off. Not so!
In a few minutes • the furry
animal was again peering in at
them,

left from Montreal on July 30

end of, Hurricane Carrie gave some
of the passengers a bad time,

TRINITY CLUB
The Trinity Club. met at the
home off the president, Mrs,
Hovey on Tuesday.evening. It was
opened with the members' pledge,
after which Scripture pertaining
to Thanksgiving was read from
the prayer book. This was follow-
ed by a Thanksgiving hymn in un-
ison, and a prayer- offered by Mrs,
R. H. F, Clairdner on the' same
theme.
There was an attendance of 16.
Mrs. Alf Seotebmer read `the
minutes and the treasurer's report
was given by Mrs. En l3ellcharnber.
The 'business session was brief,.
The next meeting will be held et
the home of Mrs. Ross Middleton,
the first Tuesday in November,

duction, presenting those who had

explaining the meaning of the visit.

looms were set nn, They were
shown all the materials with which
the Misses Watsons ply their
artistic talent in the many beanti-

They demonstrated the method
of setting up and operating the
looms and , explained the art of
weaving. The interest of all pres-
ent was keen and many questions
concerning '.this horneoraft, were
asked, And having the •opPortun,
ity of viewing the, finished product
gave added pleasure in the demon-
stration,
The Misses Watson served tea,
and a social hour was:enjoyed be-
