Mrs. Watson, mother of the brid'e- elect served lunch. Barbecue An open air barbecue held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. Mousseau, Kippen, on August 7, was attended by broiler growers from. Seaforth, Clinton, Hensali', Grand Bend, Ei,:eter, Dorchester, Kerwood. This barbecue was sponsored by the Purina dealers in the towns mentioned. The chicken was cooked by Al Morgan, John Manning and Bev. Doherty, London. Frank King, Toronto, sales man- ager Ralston Purina. Co. and pres- ident of Choice Cut up Chicken Ltd., Aurora, gave an adress on "What is ahead inthe broiler business?" Bev. Next year the picnic will be held in Harlbour Park, Goderich on the first Sunday in August, 0 Hensall's School Boosts Tax Rate To 62 Mills Building of the new school in the village of Hens'all, which will open this September, has resulted in higher taxes for ratepayers there. Rate for the public school will be 17.3 mills, with total for residential properties set at 62, Industrial rate is 67 mills. Steps are being taken to have a by-law passed to make Albert and Nelson Streets in the village, stop streets. This will protect the school children on their way to the new building, The old school.was accepted by the council from the board for nominal sum of one dollar, An additional grant of 4500 was given the park board on re- quest of H. Scone and P. Mc- Naughton, who reported addition- al expense's in the program- this year. ' The artificial ice debenture also has led to increase in taxes, mak- ing 1.9 mills: .
