nicians and taking a 3-day course
in colour TV at the Ryerson In-
stitute of Technology, Toronto.
Mrs. Ernest Selves and Miss
Margaret Celquhoun, Science Hill,
with Mrs., Lawrence Lovejoy, of
Jamestown, N.Y., visited recently
with Mr, and Mrs. M, T. Corless.
Dr. and Mrs. Paul Yates and
sons, were in Clinton on the
weekend with Mrs. B. C, Hearn
and Bill. They will set sail for
Africa from Montreal on June 18.

Mr, and Mrs. Frank B. Pen-
nebaker have returned from Tor-
onto, where they were guests of
Mr. and Mrs. Alan Hymus, and
other friends. They were also
guests at the Ward-Perkins. wed-
ding, held in St, Andrew's Presby-
terian Church, Barrie, on May 25,
with' reception at St, Andrew's
Hall. The bride is a 1957 grad-
uate of the Hospital for Sick
Children, Toronto, and a cousin of
Mr, Pennebaker.
John E. Cuninghame, of Elec-
tronics Park, Syracuse, N.Y., has
spent the last two week-ends with
his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Cuninghame, The interim he spent
in Toronto, where he attended the
annual convention of the American
Railroad Association, before whom
he carried out 'a technical presen-
tation of G.E. Electronics Mic-
rowave equipment. The conven-
tion was held in the Royal York
hotel from May 20 to 24. He left
his little son Master John Craig
Cuninghame in Clinton for • a
weeks visit with his grandparents.
Gordon Cuninghame returned to
Syracuse with his son for a lerig=

In Festival Here
Huron Young„ People's Unions
held heir second Religious Drama
Festival in Ontario Street United
Church, here last Wednesday even-
ing, May 22.
"Religious drama can and should
play a very important part in re-
ligious education and all churches
would do well to give strong slip-
port to their young people in their
efforts of this kind," reports one
observer. "It is most encourag-
ing to know that there are still
many young people who lind.pleas-
ure- in activities of this kind in
spite of the current 'rock and roll'
fad,"
Constance YPU played a modern
story of "The Prodigal Son", while
Egmondville presented the Biblical
version, Brucefield showed a mod-
ern play op Stewardship and
Titheing, while Brussels depicted
the visit of the Great Guest. All
the groups were complimented on
their performance by adjudicators
Mrs. A. Glen Eagle and H. Gs
Manning.
The winning play put on by the
Brussels YPU under the direction
of Mrs. Roy Kennedy, was out-
standing in the convincing sincer-
ity of the performers. The east
consisted of Maxine Meehan, Aub-
rey Wheeler, Keith Turnbull, Ken
Budnark, Ralph Watson, and Don
Hemingway.

Graduates at UWO
On May • 27 when gI'aduating
exercises were held in Convocation
Hall, University of Toronto, Miss
Frances Lyon, Londesboro was a
member of the class,. iyhich grad-
uated in Physical and Occupation-
al Therapy. Frances was a form-
er student at the Clinton District
Collegiate Institute. She will take
up her duties in Workmen's Re-
habilitation Centre, Edmonton, Al-
berta early in June.

Ballet Class To
Hold Recital
Saturday`-Night
About 18 youngsters last night
stepped their way through dress
rehearsal for their first ballet re-
cital, to be held in the Legion Hall
on Saturday night. Pupils of Mrs.
Tony Zabiocki, the students are
putting on the show for the ben-
efit of the Crippled Children; and
a silver collection will be accepted.
Starting time is eight o'clock.
Mrs, Zablocki, who moved with
her family to Clinton less than a
year ago, from Londesboro, has
been conducting her ballet class
only for the past winter. She has
planned two ballet "stories" for
the children, called "Spring Fan
tasy" and "Betty's Sweet Dream"
which give all of them a chance
to take part,
Violin selections and vocal pieces
will be included in the prograth.

Oat. Bus Tour
In Lincoln County
Holstein breeders and their
wives left here at 7,30 this Morn-
ing, for their annual bus tour,
which will include a visit to a
paper % mill at Thorold, a dairy
farm at St. Catharines, the locks
on the WellAd canal, a visit to
Vineland experimental station mid
a view of Niagara Falls during
the evening.

McMillan
The death of Mrs, William F.
MeMilla.n, Egmondville, .occurred
in Scott Memorial Hospital, sea-
forth, on Tuesday. She was 84.
Mrs, MelVfillan had been in failing
health since February of this
year.
She was born in Zorra, the for-
mer Margaret U. l3urclge, and
was married in 1898 at Brucefield
to the late William S, MeMillan,
who, predeceased her in 1937,
She went to the Seaforth dis-
trict 43 years ago, and was a
member of :Egmondville United
Church, and other church groups.
Surviving are two datighters,
Jessie (Dar's. Stanley Gray), Strat-
ford; and Miss Laura
Toronto; two sisters, 1V/re, Robert
Watson, Brucefield, and Mrs. John
Watson, Egmondville; one broth-
er, Fred Enrclge, Erueefield.

funeral home, Seaforth, where
service will .be conducted' TOarre-
day afternoon, May 30, vat 2 p.m,
