who wore green velvet, styled on

Willis United Church met at the

Tuesday . evening, January S: The
president, Mrs. H. G.1 Mannings'
opened the meeting in the usual'
way.
An impressivereading on the
devotional theme, "The import-
ance of the Quiet Time",for read-
ing,. meditation and pra'er was
given by Mrs. W. Oakes'. ..Prayer
was offered by Mrs. Paisley. The
financial, statement showed a bal-
ance of . $165.21. ,r
Two solos, "Spirit of God" and
"When I Am Worried and I Can't
Sleep" sungdby Mrs: D. Andre(vs,
accompanied by'• Mrs. R. Vincent,
were much enjoyed, Mrs. Alex
Haddy gave an inspiring reading
on "The • Observer".

Hensall octogenarian, Mrs, John.
Hazelwood, is in South Huron
Hospital, Exeter, following' a fall
at her home. •
The elderly refdent was found
lying semi-conscious on the floor
of her bedroom after a neighbor
rapped at the ' Moor of her,rhome•
and received no answer. She is
reported suffering 'head and rib
injuries.
Mrs. Hazelwood, who lived alone
while her •'husband was a patient
at the Queensway Nursing Home,
Hensall, was believed to have,,fal-
len the day before. '
Her helpless plight was discov-
ered, by Dr. J: a Goddard who
was notified .by the neighbor, and
broke down •the door. In attempt-
ing to break the lock, Dr. Goddard
put his own arm through -a pan?
,Of glass ixi the door but was not
injured.
