Anyone who journeyed. to
Wingham last Saturday w'
certainly pleased with the "Colts"
first outing of the season. The
team although far from top play -
ism condition still had enough to
beat the Wingham Mohawks 7-5,
The local team led the Wingham
crew 7-1 until midway through
the third period when the lack
of condition started to tell and a
series of penalties enabled. the
Mohawks to creep up with four
quick goals. Up until that point
the Colts had carried the play
and had things pretty much their
own way.
Clinton used eighteen men in-
eluding two goaltenders, Both
Bill Nediger and Bill Tideswell
showed up exceptionally well,
the former allowed but one puck
to get by him while Bill Tides
well, playing in the latter stages
of the game was called upon to
make many brilliant saves as his
mates weakened and allowed the
Wingham forwards to swarm
around the net for minutes at a
time.

Eddie'Dolmage, who is,preaent-
ly centering a line consisting of
Al May and Bill HanlY, scored
one goal and was particularly
outstanding. This unit was very
dangerous at all times and should
give the Colts a lot of scoring
punch.
Doug Bartliff has been moved
up from his customary defence
position and looks right at borne
on left wing along with Malt
Edgar and Cooney McEwan.
Defensively the Colts looked
very good. Pete Counter, Danny
Colquhoun, Bud Schoenhals and
Johnny Wilson broke up many
rushes and were giving incoming
forwards a rocky reception.
Although the Colts are not up
to their top form as yet, the
schedule opens in Milverton on
Thursday evening and the boys
feel that they should be able to
start the season off on the right
foot against their arch rivals.
The. first game of the season
for local fans will be on Wed-
nesday, December 17 with the
Clinton Electras playing hosts to
the Colts. This should be a great
game with RCAF Station, Clinton
icing their strongest team in
years,

ling: e.g., putting in a basement
with furnace, installing a pressure
system, etc.
Following the discussion, euchre
and Lost Heir were played, and
lunch was served. The next meet-
ing will be held at the home of
