for some time, Mr. Patterson
who is employed with James
Craig and. Son, received facial
and eye injuries when working
in Mr. Miller's bush at Belgrave.
It was definitely "Ray Anthony
Night" at the RCAF' Recreation
Centre Tuesday evening, as the
number one danee band in the
good old USA last year peeked
in the boys and girls' and gave
them a real fine evening,
It was estimated that close to
1,500 personnel of the Station
and their friends took in the big
show, and dancedsto the marvel-
lous music of this top-notch
"name" band.
Ray Anthony himself acted as
master-of-ceremonies and did a
grand job as "The Young Man
with the, Horn," Two girl. vocal-
ists added much te the' effective,-
ness of the party.
A feature was a unique nev-
elty number in which the Band
was called on to play spot selec-
tions frern other famous bands, Cpl, Davies was an RCAF en-.

For Blind Starts
Hensall Chamber of Commerce
met in the Council Chambers.
Discussion, centred around the
new home being built in London
for the Blind. Hensall's quota is
$50(), and the Chamber of Com-
merce is sponsoring this project
to raise the money by public sub-
scriptions and entertainments.
In charge of this project are
Reeve A. W. Kerslake, chairman;
W, so. Goodwin and Harvey Keys.
Two signs now completed will
be erected shortlya on King's
Highway 4.

and Rev. W. J. Rogers were ap-
pointed a committee 'to interview
the officials of Clinton RCAF Sta-
tion as regards presenting their
show here in aid of the Blind,,
Lorne Hay, manager of the
Hensall midget hockey teams was
present and gave report of the
progress being made by the team.
Howard Scane, scoach, also was
present.
George Armstrong, president of
South Huron Agricultural Society,
was present in regaru It's setting
the date for the Stock Show,'
either May 21 or 23, whichever
day would suit the merchants of
the village. Friday, May 23, was
