It is planned to hold a public meeting for boys of ages 14 to 19, with their parents, for the purpose' of forming an Air Cadet Squadron. These plans were made by Clinton Squadron of Huron Wing, No. 425, RCAF Association, which met Monday evening in the Leg- ion Hall; Clinton. William P. Roberts, 'former chief instructor at RCAF Station, 011titon, ad- dressed the meeting. Officers of this newly-formed Squadron are: President, Percy M, Brown; vice-president, James Wilson; secretary, J. 'D. Thorn- dike; treasurer, Andre Deseck. Committee chairmen named were: Public Relations, Cam Proc- tor and K. C. Cooke; entertain.. ment, Albert Kirby; refreshments, William Reid and Les Henderson. 0' One Week's Remand In Theft Case Convicted of the theft of a wallet and $72 in cash, the prop- erty of Mrs. Cecilia M. Sullivan, wife of an RCAF sergeant at Clinton, Mrs. Olive Edward, Clin- ton, was remanded a week for sentence in court at Goderich Thursday last.. Mrse Sullivan left the wallet on a radiator in Clinton post of- fice, and did not discover the loss until she was shopping in a store. On Friday the accused came to her house to tell her she had found the wallet and turned it in to the police. Chief Joseph Ferrand, Clinton, stated that Mrs. Edward had de- nied having converbation with Mrs. Laura Perdue or Mrs. Sul- livan. She told him her husband had received a bonus, in explana- tion of her purchase of jewelry and another gift, which she paid for with three $20 bills. Magistrate D. E. Holmes dis- regarded- evidence regarding the jewelry store as inconclusive. Evidence was that accused knew who owned the purse and made no effort to return it. He found she appropriated it for her own use.
