Clinton, Thursday afternoon, Jan-
uary 3, for Marion Louise And-
rews, beloved wife of Fergus C.
VanEgmond, Clinton, who passed
away in London, on Tuesday,
January 1, in her 52nd year. It
was conducted by Rev, A. Glen
Eagle, Clinton, assisted by Rev.
Harold Snell, Exeter.
pall-bearers were: Wilfred
Pickett, Roy Connell, Moffatt
Aiken, Howard Cowan, Clifford
Proctor and Clarence Hugill,
Flower-bearers were: Reg. Ball,
Charles Brandon, George C. Ger-
man, Wks. Shobbbrook, William
Grigg, Fred Gibson, Joseph Corey
and Scott Hawthorne.
Mrs. VanEgmond was born in
Clinton, September 18, 1900, dau-
ghter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
S. O. Andrews, and lived on
Queen St., Clinton, all her life.
She gained her education in Clin-
ton and later became a member
of Wesley-Willis United Church.
For several Years prior to her
marriage, she worked with the
Bell Telephone Company. In 1930,
she became the wife of Fergus
VanEgmond. She and her hus-
band have been members of On-
tario Street Church since that
time.
,Surviving besides her husband,
are two brothers: 3. R. Andrews,
and E, C. Andrews, both of To-
ronto; one sister, Mrs. Fred Gil-
lies, Willowdale.

Carter, beloved wife of the late
James Chowen. Interment was
in Clinton Cemetery.
Pall-bearers were: R. N. Irwin,
H. D. Ball, G. Jefferson, G.
M, Counter, H. C, Lawson and
D. T. Bartliff.
Flower-bearers were: 3, G.
McLay, Joseph Gibson, G. D.
Roberto's, Frank Fingland,
Fred Hanley, W. N. Counter,
Mrs. Chowen spent her early
life in Tuckersmith Township.
She was highly esteemed in Clin-
ton and was an active member
of Wesley-Willis United' Church
here.
Surviving are two •daughters:
Mrs. Fred Ford, Clinton; Mrs. R.
A. E. Bruce, Chatham, Kent,
Eingland; one son, James A.
Chowen, Long Branch; two step-
daughters: Mrs. Frank Fingland,
Clinton;, and Mrs. Harry Gourlie,
Selby; three stepsons: Kenneth
Chowen, Hamilton; Mowat Chow-
en, Melton; Roy Chowen, Toron-
